This product is by far the most eco friendly of all of the washing up liquids. It's incredibly good for the enivironment and it doesn't produce fake bubbles, unlike other nasty washing up liquids. It states on the back of the bottle that it "cleans effectively without producing excessive bubbles". Excellent. This washing ... Read the complete review

I would not normally bother to review a product like dish-washing liquid but this product is so good that I feel compelled to write about it. I started to use this product about two months ago and I will never buy anything else. The latest bottle I'm using is chamomile and marigold and the fragrance is lovely, not like the usual overbearing stink ... Read the complete review

It might not be an all-singing, all-dancing entertainment system, but Ecover washing up liquid is still my brand of choice on the rare occasion that I'm forced to don the Marigolds and scrub something that my dishwasher has failed to clean. Here are my five reasons why: First of all, though it's not the most bubbly liquid ... Read the complete review

I used to use fairy to clean my dishes but last year I discovered that proctor and gamble test products on animals. Now, I wouldn't state I'm any kind of animal activist, or a warrior for fair trade...I don't go vigorously seeking products to boycott, and I don't do a great deal of investigation into the products I buy. That said, if I ... Read the complete review

I have to admit that I had noticed that some of our "environmentalist" friends used this product and I always thought it had to be completely ineffective if it was good for the environment. So I have always stuck to my big brand varieties but at the same time I have been quite aware about the number of chemicals that we have in our ... Read the complete review

ECOVER Cleaning up The World As anyone who has read any of my reviews will know, I’m a big fan of natural. Natural colours, natural fabrics, natural stuff in general, and in particular natural cleaners. Doesn’t matter whether we’re talking recycled loo roll, plant based face wash, or opening a window instead of spraying half ... Read the complete review

We all have it ************* Chances are that wherever you are there is a bottle of washing-up-liquid somewhere within 20m of you. Just about every household has a bottle somewhere in the kitchen, whether or not a dishwasher is to be found. Washing up-liquid has always been just a nasty liquid goo to me. Nothing at all to get excited ... Read the complete review

**What's in it?** Plant based ingredients, such as aloe vera form the basis of this natural product, but it is a cleaning product so there is the traditional ingredient with a vaguely chemical sounding name that you've never heard of which must do something important... It's actually more than 30% water, to be honest. But it also ... Read the complete review

When I first thought about writing this review I was cautious, firstly I don’t want to preach and secondly how interesting can washing up liquid be. So for the last few weeks I’ve mulled it over and decided that it’s the same as every review, for the people who are interested in the product it may help. So here we go my short lecture on Camomile ... Read the complete review

Our dishwasher is out of action. It's sitting in the garage feeling rather lonely. One day, when I've sorted out the conservatory/extension/outhouse, and it's become the laundry, and there's room in the kitchen, our dishwasher will be pressed into service once again. Until then ? and at the Murphy rate ... Read the complete review

Anyone who is a health-shop fiend or who buys products from "green" manufacturers can't have helped notice that the company Ecover has introduced a wide range of products recently. Judging by the presence of some of these in supermarkets such as Tesco the company is finally beginning to reach the "average" shopper, and ... Read the complete review

Let me tell you about what I use to do my least favourite chore, washing up. Ok so I don?t like ironing, am not to keen on vacuuming, or dusting. Dearly beloved does most of it anyway, I cook (I like doing that) but let me tell you about Ecover washing up liquid. I try to use some products that do little or no harm to our environment. ... One of the ingredients of the "original" Ecover washing up liquid contains whey powder, derived from dairy products & therefore not suitable for vegans. The "Aloe Vera and Lemon" variety is approved by the vegan society, and thus environmentally conscious vegans like myself can use it without guilt. It is just ... Read the complete review

It is a little-known fact that female moomins don’t like getting their paws wet. Thus in the Moominhouse you will always find Mr Moomin wearing the marigolds, while Mrs Moomin wields the tea-towel. However, this opinion is not about marigolds or tea-towels (you’ll no doubt be pleased to hear) but is about Washing-up Liquid. Well, I ... Read the complete review

I like to buy products that are environmentally friendly where I can. It's good to do my little bit towards saving our planet. That's why I bought Ecover washing up liquid. It cost me £1.55 which is about the same as a large one of my usual brand. I was at that point pleased because you usually have to pay more for eco-friendly ... Read the complete review

I was so pleased to find out that I'm not going mad, I haven't finally flipped my lid totally, although I've always been just a little near the edge, I must admit. Last time I went to the supermarket they didn't have my usual brand of washing up liquid in stock. I was looking at the others comparing prices, and noticed that Ecover was a comparable price to my usual brand, yet was an environmentally friendly product. The first time I took my son to the seaside we went to Hastings. The beach there has been in the news recently due to the amount of pollution on it. He looked at the sea, pointed at the area of water where sewage was being pumped into the sea and said 'bubbles', it was months before we were able to persuade him to it was called the sea. ... Ecover do a range of enviromentally friendly household cleaning products eg washing up liquid, toilet cleaner, bathroom cleaner, general purpose surface cleaner, washing powder and conditioner.
