Advantages: Uses same batteries again and again, long use time, lights to show you when to turn off
Disadvantages: Could be better with all battery types
I hate throwing away batteries or even taking them to a recycling place. It feels like such a waste and isnt good for the planet.
I bought this for £5 from Wilkinsons online as part of a bigger order. It comes in a plastic packet which comes away easily from the cardboard its held in so no need for scissors to open it. Its a silver recharger base, and its not too big and bulky. It is very light and also comes with four rechargable batteries by Energizer. It has a sythetically pleasing round top and flat bottom, and plugs directly into the plug socket.
You can only use Nimh rechargeable batteries with it, but the ones that came with the charger seem to be keeping their charge really well. I tend to use them most in the Wii controllers, and the fact that you can charge four at a time is great.
It has a little led light system to tell you when the batteries are charging and then fully charged, it takes around eight hours to recharge and you can recharge either AA or AAA batteries.
It says that you can charge the batteries hundreds of times but I am yet to find out if that is true.
In other stores this charger costs a lot more and I havent found it cheaper new anywhere else.
If you like to help the planet and use a lot of batteries then invest in one of these today!
