      Disadvantages

      Soft on your bottom!

I shop at Waitrose for most things as its within walking distance and I trust the quality of their products. Where I can I generally get Waitrose "Essentials" as they are always really good quality and at least as good, if not better than  "normal" range products in the other large supermarkets.  Toilet roll is no different, I get my tried and tested "Essentials" toilet roll every few times I go there.

      Quality
The quality is good - I have sometimes purchased the "big bog-roll" brands when they are on offer, but I always go back to the Waitrose "Essential" one as for quality on price I feel you can't best it.  It's soft, thick and strong and nice to use on both the nose and nether regions!

My mother, until recently bought a well known brand of quilted loo roll and got rather obsessed by the fact she thought it was shrinking in size over the years!  I using Waitrose toilet roll for 3 years now and it certainly hasn't shrank at all, it still fill the width and breath of the toilet roll holder and the cardboard tube in the middle is the same size as its always been.  As homage to my mother I have measured the toilet roll, results as follows:

Diameter, across the side, ie. with the hole of the cardboard holder in the middle = 20cm
Each sheet is 2 ply and measures 11 x 13cm
Diameter of the toilet roll holder is 3cm
There are approx 240 sheets in each roll - no I wasn't sad enough to count it, I checked waitrose.com!

      So What Does it Cost?
      16 rolls = £6.89
      9 rolls = £3.99
      4 rolls = £1.88
      2 rolls =  £1.29

There are also quite often offers, about two weeks ago I bought a couple of 9 roll packs with 3 each rolls in each, 12 all together for £3.99.

      Colours and Packaging
I always buy white as it has no artificial colours in, but it also comes in champagne and blush.

The packaging is quite simple plastic, with a draw string plastic handle on the 9 and 12 packs.  The packing for the white rolls is white in colour with "Essentisl Waitrose, white, bathroom tissue" on the front in black and grey and a picture of a grey fluffy feather.

      Recycling
Obviously it flushes away and disintegrates nicely to where we don't need to think about...however the outer wrapper is a low density Polyetheyene which is recylcable asks the cardboard tube of the inner core.  Also the cardboard tube is good for making models with the kids!

      Summary
Great toilet roll at a good price!
