Fairy liquid has been around for a long time and remains one of the major brands of washing up liquids on sale at supermarkets. It's true what they say: Fairy liquid goes a long way. The Original Fairy Liquid was recently upgraded to make it last even longer and we can certainly vouch for this claim. You need such a small amount to do a sink full of dishes and in my experience it is very economical to use. This might be hard for some of you to believe but we bought our present 500ml bottle of fairy liquid nearly two years ago and it still isn't empty. We've used it at least five days out of every week during this time and in no way have we been skimping ... Read the complete review

Fairy Pure Clean: When the other half came home from hospital after a heart procedure, I was told that he would be susceptible to infection for a while and that I should give our flat a good cleaning. I probably overreacted and went a huge shopping spree buying every antibacterial product I could find! One of the better products I got was Fairy Pure Clean washing up liquid. On the shelf the bottle is easily distinguishable as a bottle of Fairy due the familiar baby branding and Fairy logo and indeed, the shape of the bottle as well. As well as the usual stuff you'd expect to find on the bottle there is a logo letting us know that Fairy Pure Clean is ... Read the complete review

I must have used almost every washing-up liquid on the market during the last 35 years or so but I still keep going back to Fairy because it seems to last so much longer. We have a dishwasher but it's well past it's sell-by date so it's usually me who does the washing up & I need something that's kind to hands (hate wearing rubber gloves) & something that I don't have to keep buying every week. I bought my latest Fairy liquid when it was BOGOF at Tesco.com but the price is back to it's original one now - £1.37 for 450ml (at 18/11) so it's not the cheapest on the market by any means. Usually it's a product which you can find on ... Read the complete review

Most people know of fairy liquid - the advertising slogan "Now hands that do dishes are as soft as your face, with mild green Fairy Liquid" will no doubt have had you humming the tune in your mind as you read it! As above, Fairy Liquid is traditionally green although it now comes in a huge variety of other colours (and perfumes) too! Fairy liquid was first sold in the UK in 1960 and is now sold extensively throughout Europe too although, as with most products in Europe, it is sold under a different name! It is produced by Procter & Gamble, in Dartford, England. It is worth mentioning that Procter & Gamble do endorse animal testing as ... Read the complete review

As i'd often used Fairy Original washing-up liquid, I tried the Fairy Antibacterial variety when it was released. Although it's performance was good enough, and my washing up was left clean, I didn't like the smell. Obviously, as it was an antibacterial varity, I didn't expect it to smell the same as the original, or lemon type, but it really wasn't very nice at all. The liquid itself is a rather attractive blue colour, but i thought it was rather thin compared to Fairy Original. The packaging is good though, because the bottle is semi transparent, so you can see exactly how much liguid you have left. I also found that after a few ... Read the complete review
