My youngest son has very sensitive skin and I need to take care about which detergents I use. I now use Fairy detergent as I find it doesn't irritate his skin, smells lovely and gives good results. I like to use a fabric softener too and the obvious choice was Fairy!

Fairy sensitive skin fabric softener comes in a clear plastic bottle with blue screw top. The packaging does make the product stand out on the supermarket shelf as far as I'm concerned. The fabric softener is available in two sizes- 750 ml or 1.4 litre bottles. I suspect you may be able to buy larger sized bottles but these are the two sizes I have seen in the supermarkets.

I usually buy the 750 ml size and recently paid £1.99 in my local Waitrose. The bottle doesn't have a handle and can be a bit awkward to hold, especially when it is full and heavy. The screw cap acts as a measuring cup. The off white liquid is quite thick and I find I can get away with using less than the recommended capful to get good results.

The best thing about this fabric softener is that it doesn't cause anyone in the family any skin irritation! I don't use fabric softener on all my laundry as it is a bit of an expensive luxury for me! However I always use it on bedding as the lovely scent lingers for days! It keeps jumpers feeling soft and is great on reducing static on any man made material. I don't use fabric softener for towels as it makes them less absorbent. However if they are to be dried outside I use a little to stop them from becoming too stiff.

Fairy fabric softener is dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic. It has been awarded the British allergy foundation's seal of approval. It also gets my seal of approval!
