Advantages: Mild, very little needed, excellent results

I love Fairy Liquid because it offers great value for money. You only need the tiniest squeeze to produce enough solution to wash a sinkful of dishes. I paid £1.05 for my last 500ml bottle which sounds expensive compared to some of the other well-known makes and the supermarket own-brands, but it is a superior product that does not behave as if it has been watered down.

I find Fairy excellent used neat on a damp cloth for spot-cleaning carpets and upholstery (although I always test on an inconspicuous area first); you only need a drop.

I always buy the traditional Fairy; I have tried the fragranced ones but, to be honest, I find the perfumes start to irritate after a while. Sometimes, the original is the best!

A typical 500ml bottle will last a couple of months with normal use so is excellent value for money. I cannot vouch for its kindness to hands because I always wear rubber gloves for washing the dishes, but Fairy does have a long-standing reputation for mildness.

I love the fact that they still have the Fairy baby as the logo on their products. A traditional touch that makes them feel safe and trustworthy.
