Advantages: Great on your skin washed dishes well and eats grease
Disadvantages: None
I use fairy washing up liquid at home from time to time when it is on offer in the supermarket. This review is mainly based on the bottle I have opened now which is Fairy pure clean Eucalyptus and it is blue in colour.
I bought this bottle of Fairy in buy 3 bottles for £2 offer in my local Tesco, which I feel, is a very good offer as a 450 ml bottle of Fairy costs about 90p a bottle.
Instructions. Fairy is very simple to use I but a small squirt into a bowl and put the hot tap on until the bowl is nearly full. I also use fairy slightly diluted on thought pans and roasting tins. I love the squinty bottles it makes putting in a small amount much easier I wish shampoo, bath foam and conditioner came in the same type of bottles I would use a lot less!
I really enjoy the smell of Fairy the eucalyptus smells lovely but it is not my favourite smell I prefer apple or lemon on my dishes as I think it smells clean and fresh. Do not get me wrong eucalyptus is a pleasant smell but is does not scream fresh to me!
Does it work? I find fairy is great on all my dishes, glasses and pots. Dishes are left clear without smears or white marks. Dishes come clean very easily even cheese, which has proven tough to get off plates, seems to come off with ease. Some of our pots and pans have needed to be soaked for a bit to get off thought food but after a soak, they have come off without to much hard work.
I suffer with dry itchy skin on my hands particularly in the winter and I hate wearing gloves so it is important to me that the washing up liquid is gentle on my skin. (Also, my 6-year-old daughter loves helping so it is important it is mild) I find fairy is fine on my skin infact I would go so far to say that my skin feels softer after using fairy for some time.
The bottle state it should be kept out of reach of children and rinsed throughally if it gets in your eyes. (not sure if that is a good idea adding water to washing up liquid in your eye surely it will foam up?
I would recommend fairy to anyone with young children or sensitive skin as it is very mind. It is amazing how it can be so tough on dishes while being so mild on your skin! Fairy produces a lovely amount of bubbles!
Summary: A great bubbly washing up liquid soft on hands tough on dishes

- 18/11/08 Just a note....I'm really sorry I meant to rate this article as VERY USEFUL - but I had an accident with the mouse and I accidentally clicked USEFUL. So sorry. |

- 06/11/08 I think the idea to dilute with water if it gets in your eyes is to flush it out quickly, rather than to encourage it to foam up. I have visions of foam pouring out of one eye now lol |
