Advantages: Concentrated for longer use, flip top lid, lasts longer than other brands.

Disadvantages: A little more expensive.

I have previously tried out cheaper alternatives but I always find myself being led straight back to Fairy as I really feel that it gives the best value for money.

Fairy is in a clear plastic bottle which has a red flip top lid and the bottle has a slight curve to it which makes it easy to grab off the side in my kitchen for use.

The liquid is thick and green and is advertised on the bottle as being concentrated and lasting 50% longer than cheaper brands and I do find it to last quite a bit longer although it does cost a little more of course. It's extremely easy to use and I just fill up the washing up bowl and then turn on the hot water and squirt a little of this. Lots of bubbles are created by the liquid and I think just a squirt in my washing up bowl and another small squirt on my sponge to be perfectly ample for washing a whole Sunday roasts worth of dishes. It does have a very clean smell to it and it's quite distinct to Fairy I feel. It doesn't have a 'flavour' or 'scent' it's just called original.

I do find that my hands can get a little dry after I have washed up using Fairy but you can now buy a version which has anti-bacterial treatment or one with aloe Vera to help keep your hands lovely and soft. I just use a little bit of hand cream after washing up but I do this anyway as I like to keep my hands nice and smooth. I do suffer from sensitive skin but I don't find any sort of reaction occurring when I use Fariry.

I am rating this product 5/5 as whilst it's 98p for 450ml from Tesco, which is more expensive than some other brands, I do feel that it's worth paying that bit extra as it lasts longer and therefore saves you money in the long run.

Summary: A highly recommend concentrated liquid to get your dishes clean.

I can't use Fairy as it plays my hands up and brings on my eczema and I know several people who suffer similarly
