Advantages: Cleans really well, smells nice and leaves your hands soft.
Disadvantages: None
In our house there are five people, myself, my husband and three children. Seen as my children are too young and my husband works full time I am the only one who does the washing up and I do lots of it. I am the dishwasher in our house and out of all the products available out there the only washing up liquid for me is fairy.
I think with lots of products you can down shift and buy a cheaper brand that works just as well but washing up liquid is not one of those. Fairy is a very reputable brand and I think the market leader in washing up liquid.
You will find it in all supermarkets, at various prices and in different sized bottles. I buy it from Tesco and think it is 89p for a 500ml bottle and these are often on special offer 2 for £1.50. A 500ml bottle will last us about three weeks which I think is great as I do wash up about four times a day. The liquid is very concentrated so you only need a small amount and you will get lots of bubbles.
Fairy is famous for being soft on your hands, I still remember the adverts from being child, where mother and child are washing up and they say soft enough even for your child's hands.
It really does leave your hands soft, cheaper versions can dry your skin and leave your hands irritable.
Fairy also smells really nice, you can get a variety of scents and they all leave your kitchen with a nice, distinctive smell. I am not so keen on the more traditional smells like lemon and apple. My favourite is pink petals because it smells the best and I love the colour pink.
Most importantly Fairy really does clean the dishes, no matter how greasy or grimey your plates or pans are Fairy will always get them clean.
I have burnt pans on quite a few occassions and soaking them in hot water and fairy really works.
Fairy really is the best washing up liquid available.
Summary: The only washing up liquid for me.
