Advantages: Smells lovely, not too expensive, does what it says, leave my hands soft
Disadvantages: None
For hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face, with Mild Green Fairy Liquid.
For as long as I can remember my family have all used Fairy Liquid. And naturally when I moved into a house of my own I automatically started to use it aswell. I remember the old averts from the child watching her mummy wash up to the never ending bottle which is waiting to be turned into a rocket ship. I think it is the theme tune that has imprinted it to my brain.
Fairly Liquid has been used for decades and is a trusted product for it's mild formula on your hands and leaving your dishes sqeaky clean. It has changed from the Original in the white bottle with green writing to a clear bottle, the colour depending on fragrance but still has the same red lid.
On the shelves you can find the original green, Lemon, Apple Quake, Pink Petals and Fresh Lavender. Recently Proctor & Gamble who produce the liquid have bought out the new clean and care range. The new Fairy Pure Clean has Antibacterial Action which is available in Eucalyptus, Lime and Lemongrass extracts, Pink Grapefruit and Garden Mint extracts.
I have used in each in turn and at the moment am using the Fresh Lavender. Next month I will use a different one again. This particular month though it is the Lavender which smells just so nice. I always look forward to doing my last set of washing up for the day as the Lavender is just so relaxing and helps me drift off into the land of nod.
In Morrisons I pay £1.29 for a 650ml bottle which I think is more than reasonable for the amount of use I get out of it. With Scarlet being a little monkey I can doing upto three loads of washing up a day and then use a bowl of the soapy suds to wash down whatever she seems to have painted today. I have also been known to wash down the windows with it and then use a tea towel for a gleaming shine.
It cuts through grease better than any other washing up liquid I have used (I have used cheaper ones when a bit strapped for cash) and lasts a lot longer than any other cheaper brand I have used. If rinses off more easily, leaving your dishes outstandingly clean and not at all greasy or tasting of apples or lemon. And the bubbles never disappear when you are doing the washing up.
As it is so mild on my over worked hands and does exactly what it says on the tin I will never use an alternative or cheaper brand again. Oh and please remember to recycle the bottle people....
Summary: I will never use a cheap alternative again.
