Advantages: Great for washing up

Disadvantages: Your washing up- that is no fun

It is probably the most well known washing up liquid in the country- how many of us don't recall the famous jingle-"the hands that do dishes can feel as soft as your face... mild green fairy liquid".

But advertising is all about making you buy the product and from that viewpoint it never worked for me, a.n.other brand and the shop's own brand always being the cheaper option. I tried buying a basic shop's own once and that was not a wise move- but otherwise I have never felt the need to splash out on this premium product.

That is, until about a month ago, when Fairy was on a buy two offer- then I popped them into my trolley with glee.

It took me a while to realise I didn't need as much washing up liquid as I was used to using- Fairy just goes so much further- so I am now getting loads of soapy, sudsy washing up liquid for a shorter squeeze.

But also it is cleaning my dishes- greasy, oily, beetrooty - whatever - all come out clean.

It could be my imagination, but I swear my crockery has an added sparkle.

So I can recommend you give Fairy a try, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Now I have to say that these hands that do dishes are not as soft as my face- well not until I have applied hand cream- but let's be fair- it is the dishes that it is supposed to treat well and that is a job well done.

I bought on offer, but at normal price in my supermarket it is a 99p for 500ml.
