WHAT IS IT?

Washing up detergent in a range of fragrances.  It is a costly detergent but a bottle lasts for a lot longer than any cheaper brands.

FRAGRANCE

The original Fairy Liquid is green and has a fresh soapy fragrance. It is comforting because it is a fragrance I have known since my childhood and I buy it sometimes even though I like the newer fragrances.  The next oldest is lemon and that is a clean washing up detergent fragrance and the best of all the lemon liquids.  Pomegranate and Honeysuckle is my favourite one because it is very perfumed and is fruity and flowery.  It makes my kitchen smell beautiful when I am washing up.  There's an apple one but that's very weak and fake smelling, I like apple scents sometimes but not this one.

WHAT I THINK

When I buy Fairy Liquid it doesn't matter what fragrance I buy because I know the detergent is going to be effective and kind to my hands.  I like that you get a lot of bubbles and can feel that the water is nicer like a version of when you use something from Lush in your bath.  You don't need to use a lot for every bowl of washing up and that's why the bottle lasts for so long, it costs up to £1.19 but I think buying cheaper is false economy.

It cleans greasy items but I mostly wash them in the dishwasher, one of my fry pans cannot be washed in the dishwasher so I use Fairy Liquid to first soak it and then wash it up.  It takes away the greasy feel from the pan and leaves it looking and feeling very clean.  I have to rinse things for a long time because the thick detergent clings so I take extra care when rinsing my childrens plates and cups because I would not want to upset their stomachs.

When I wash glassware in Fairy Liquid it leaves it sparkling clean and because of this I like to wash this by hand instead of in the dishwasher.  I use washing up gloves to protect my manicure but when I am just washing one item I don't always do this and Fairy Liquid is kind to my skin and some varieties seem to be moisturising.
