There seem to be a fair few cheap washing up liquids on the market and I seem to have tried most of them. The question is though whether buying the cheap brands is worth it or is it just a false economy? I hadn't given it much thought until on a recent trip to Sainsburys my husband came home with a 650 ml bottle of fairy original washing up liquid ... Read the complete review

Ive mentioned on previous reviews that in a lot of cases I have substituted well known brands either with a cheaper or a supermarket own variety, and for the most part I cant really tell much of a difference. There is one product though that although ive tried to substitute I always come back to it, and that is Fairy Liquid. "For ... Read the complete review

I'm not really a big fan of doing the washing up and as such I tend to think about it the least amount possible and just get on with it. Also I am a notorious cheapskate and don't like paying for name brand items when the generic works just fine. Therefore I had always used a store brand washing up liquid quite happily and never thought twice ... Read the complete review

For hands that do dishes........ I am a big fan of Fairy washing up liquid, the fact that it seems to last well and smell great must be why! Fairy is a product by Procter & Gamble, and there are a few other Fairy products available such as washing powder, fabric softener, dish washer tablets, etc..... This ... Read the complete review

Coming form a bloke this will be the most honest review you will ever read about lemon fairy liquid. I`m a bit of a lable snob when it comes to food but when it comes to household products I couldn`t care less who makes it. However I tried this product after having some trouble removing stubborn gravy from an oven dish whilst using bargain buy ... Read the complete review

It is probably the most well known washing up liquid in the country- how many of us don't recall the famous jingle-"the hands that do dishes can feel as soft as your face... mild green fairy liquid". But advertising is all about making you buy the product and from that viewpoint it never worked for me, a.n.other brand and the ... Read the complete review

I absolutely love this product whether it be the lemon or the original. They often say that this product lasts for 8 weeks or longer. I cannot say that I accept these claims as I have actually found that this item is generally used up in 3 weeks or less because we do a lot of washig up. What is good about it though apart from the good ... Read the complete review

FAIRY LIQUID. I just brought a bottle of this washing up liquid from my local supermarket and it comes in a 650ml bottle from Sainsbury's for the mere price of £1.00 on special offer at the moment. The bottle which is recyclable is really great, has a pour out cap that you can close after use and it is so good, i wont ... Read the complete review

Fairy washing up liquid is the ferrari of cars, the D&G of handbags. It is basically top notch and the best in my opinion. There are hundreds of different cheaper and more expensive brands from tesco's or ASDA's own to environmentally friendly ones. Fairy liquid comes in different colours and 'flavours' like apple which is a minty ... Read the complete review

For years we have all seen the tv adverts for "mild green fairy liquid" Its probably the most well known washing up liquid in the UK and i think its the best. I dont buy it all the time as i think its quite expensive and i usually opt for cheaper brands. If Fairy is on offer at a good price, this is when i will stock up on ... Read the complete review

Fairy Original washing up liquid, although used less in our house now due to the use of a dishwasher, it still takes pride of place next to the kitchen sink. The bottle I have is 450ml and made of clear flexible plastic allowing for the liquid to be squeezed out with easy. The top is a red flip top and made of plastic. The bottle I ... I know a lot of people insist on using Fairy washing up liquid, but quite frankly I don't really care. In my house, we have 8 bottles of washing up liquid, which is what happens when a few people move in together and don't discuss cleaning (either that or you have none at all)! So amongst the brand names and the supermarkets' own there was some ... Read the complete review

We always buy this when its on special offer. We buy the light green coloured one as it doesnt smell too strong. Although we have a dishwasher, theres always extras that cant go into it and so we always have a stock of washing up liquid You hardly need to use any of this to get a sink full of froth, just a small squirt. ***** Introduction ***** I have never really been a massive fan of washing the dishes, I say chuck it in the dish washer but as we are trying to save a few pennies, that dish washer is a very expensive luxury that is not really needed when there is only two of us in the house. Anyway while in tesco last week my other half ... Read the complete review

For hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face, with Mild Green Fairy Liquid. For as long as I can remember my family have all used Fairy Liquid. Fairy washing up liquid is manufactured by Procter & Gamble in UK . It's the best thing i ever tried . I decided to review popular Fairy Original liquid . This liquid handles really well on grease so i don't need to scrub dishes more, risking scratches. Although it easily removes dirt, plates and burnt pans need to be soaked ... Fairy washup liquid is a fairly handy and robust cleaning utensil for the kitchen. I've been buying it for 2 years now and so far have only been disappointed in the standard green liquids which seem to be less effective at cleaning grease off plates and also start to smell very bad (the bottle that is, if you leave it open as I normally do) ... In our house there are five people, myself, my husband and three children. Seen as my children are too young and my husband works full time I am the only one who does the washing up and I do lots of it. I've used Fairy Liquid Original on and off for years, in between another brand which I think smells better (sort of lime and ginger). Anyway, I was tempted by Tesco's special offer to try the new fragrances. I was pleased to see a "Fresh Lavender" one, but soooo disappointed when I tried it. It actually smells nasty! It suggests dead leaves to me, slowly rotting - it's very unpleasant. I've given it away to my neighbour, but haven't yet heard what she thinks of it.
