~*~*~ Fairy Non Bio Gel ~*~*~
I know, I know. I rave on and on about how amazingly fantastic Ariel is and then I pop up with a review about Fairy Non Bio! Well I have my reasons for using this and I have not turned my back on Ariel at all lol!
~ What is it? ~
Fairy Non Bio Gel is a delicate laundry gel. I have often used Fairy washing powder when my children were very small babies as it is a nice delicate cleaning product that leaves clothes feeling soft, smelling gorgeous, and most importantly clean.
Fairy Non Bio is available in various different forms -
This review will focus on the Fairy Non Bio Gel.
~ Why the sudden change? ~
If you have read any of my other laundry reviews you may have noticed that I tend to always opt for Ariel washing powder as my way of cleaning clothes as I find that Ariel meets my needs perfectly, however my son recently had a nasty eczema flare up and I wanted to use more gentle products for his clothes in order for his skin to improve quicker, we had gotten his creams but still the itching wasn't very comfortable for him so whilst in Asda I picked up a bottle of the Fairy Non Bio Gel. Having used it in the past many times I knew his skin never had any adverse reactions to it and I knew it was gentler on his skin than Ariel.
~ The packaging ~
I would expect that we are all familiar with the gel bottles these days and I think they are more convenient than a large washing powder box.
This bottle is a white slightly curved short squat plastic bottle, it stands on it's lid, the lid is a simple flip up flap that then clicks securely into place, this part is coloured in a nice aqua colour. On the top of the bottle is a domed cap, this is the dosing device. The cap is mainly white with a frosted clear squidgy plastic piece in the middle, it is into this you squeeze the gel.
The bottle has the Fairy logo on the front and the back contains all the relevant information.

~ Usage ~
You simply fill the middle of the dosage cap with the gel and pop it on top of the clothes in the washing machine, there is nothing more to do.
You are recommended to remove the cap before tumble drying however I have accidently put it in the dryer and it came out looking exactly the same as before so it was still perfectly usable.
~ My Thoughts ~
I have always been impressed with Fairy but I find that it doesn't remove the more stubborn stains on clothes but in regards to gentleness, softness and scent this washing powder is nothing short of perfect.
My reason for buying it was for the sole use on my 9 year old sons clothes and bedding and as he doesn't get particularly dirty I had no problems in using it as he didn't have stubborn stains to remove.
The scent is apparent as soon as you open the lid, it is a nice gentle clean scent that I always associate with baby clothes and babies!
I do feel that using this helped my sons skin clear up quicker as the gel is nice and gentle on delicate skin, it leaves the clothes feeling soft and they have a light scent rather than a heavy more noticeable scent like Ariel leaves.
The clothes always came out very clean and fresh smelling and I have been very impressed with it.
I have washed my little one's clothes with this and he is a right messy monkey and as I feared it failed to remove the spaghetti bolognaise sauce stains from his clothes but left them fresh and clean other than the stains!
I will use this again in the future but Ariel will always be my first choice.
I feel this is a brilliant quality product that is amazing on delicate skin my only disappointment is that it fails to remove stubborn stains.
Summary: A really nice gel from Fairy.
