I tried these new Fairy Platinum ''all in one'' capsules as opposed the the tablet, salt, rinse aid combination I use presently. Living in a hard water area, I have been previously advised to always use salt so still continued to do so with the Fairy Platinum.
They claim to make the dishwasher cleaner, as well as the contents, so before using I checked my filter, which I must admit, was pretty bad with a build up of debris and grease. I gave this a thorough clean and started afresh.
The cleaning results of the Fairy Platinum capsules are good, the crockery, cutlery and glasses are always sparkling and I am also impressed with the cleaning of the Sunday roast dishes, although one dish had to be re-washed as residual burnt on marks were left. After a week of using these capsules I rechecked the filter and it was still looking pretty good, there was some residue but limited and on recent checks this is still being kept to a minimum so I can only assume that the rest of the hidden parts of the machine are looking better also.
All in all this is a good product, and it appears to do what it claims. My only negative is really the price which although is generally comparable with other leading brands, I still find quite expensive on a tight budget. I regularly use a dishwasher cleaner (about once a month), and this combined with my normal tablet/rinse aid/salt costs still work out cheaper than the Fairy Platinum alone. Still, if these are on offer I would buy them again.
I bought these recently when they were on offer in my local Morrisons. I use my dishwasher at least once a day and hate it when the plates come out and they are not totally clean and have to be re-washed. I had seen these advertised on TV and they looked great so I was excited to give them a try. The tablets come in a clear packet and are sold in packs of 20.
The tablets are unusual and different to what I have used before as you do not have to unwrap them you can just put them straight in your dishwasher as they are. I was unsure of how this would work at first but thought id give them a go. The tablets have a liquid in them they are sort of held within a plastic coating (it's a bit hard to explain).
The tablets certainly look great they are in a very cool shape and have two different sections on them one which is to clean the dishes and the others are to clean the dishwasher which will obviously make the dishwashers performance better. The tablets are easy to store as they come in a cool re-sealable pack which is plastic so is waterproof and if it gets wet wont ruin the tablets inside.
I have used these on quite a few occasions now and I am very pleased with the performance of the tablet. I could really notice a difference in my plates and cutlery they really did shine.
The other great thing was that the dishwasher really did smell fresh and clean. All of my glasses had a brilliant shine on them they looked like new! I have used the tablets on both the quick wash and also on the intensive wash and they have fantastic results on both of these, I have used tablets in the past which when I have done a quick wash have not worked but these are great even at lower temperatures.
I paid £3 for the tablets but they are normally around £7 which is a lot when you only get 20 tablets in the pack but they really are excellent so I suppose you pay for what you get!
Despite the price I would recommend these as the performance and outcome they produce is amazing and well worth the money I think.
I am not brand loyal and tend to buy whichever product is on offer. A few months ago it was Fairy dishwasher platinum tablets that were on offer in Tesco and so was the one I bought. Unlike their rival Finish,Fairy dishwasher tablets are packaged in a strong plastic pouch as opposed to a cardboard box. They are easy to spot on the shelf with with the large Fairy name in red.
The tablets are not wrapped individually, but loose in the pouch. I would prefer them to be wrapped as it protects by hands from having to touch chemicals. The tablets feel quite soft to the touch and should be placed in the dishwasher dispenser. I find that these tablets are quite large and I have to struggle to get the dispenser flat closed. Fairy is made by the giant Proctor and Gamble who claim that these tablets will not only clean your dishes, but will also clean the dishwasher, drainage system, filters and spray arm, freeing them all from grease. So ,how do they perform?
I usually run my dishwasher when it is full and use the Normal wash cycle. I do rinse my plates and pans first to get rid of any food scraps. I am really impressed with these tablets and find they do a really good job of getting everything clean without leaving any residue. Unlike Finish, I have not had a problem with the tablets failing to dissolve fully! They also leave the dishwasher looking and smelling clean. I like to put half a lemon into the cutlery basket once a week and this also helps to keep my dishwasher looking and smelling clean and shiny!
There are a few negatives ;the tablets are not wrapped and as I have already said, this means you have to touch them. It also means they will stick together if they get damp. In steamy kitchen this can easily happen!
I tend to stock up on these dishwasher tablets when they are on offer as they often are! At the moment you can buy 3 packs for £10 in Tesco. Each pack containing 20 tablets is £5 from both Tesco and Waitrose. Asda are selling a pack of 20 for £4.
Overall I can highly recommend Fairy platinum!
With a family of five to feed and clean up after, my dishwasher has to be one of my favourite kitchen appliances. I always use premium branded dishwasher tablets in my machine as I believe that cheaper brands can be a false economy if items aren't cleaned properly and have to go through a second wash.
These Fairy Platinum dishwasher tabs definitely fall into the premium category with the full RRP being around £10 for just 30 tablets! I never pay full price for household staples such as dishwasher tablets and fortunately find this brand to be on promotion fairly frequently. Generally, I buy these at half price so £5 for 30 washes which is still comparatively expensive.
These tabs come with the distinctive Fairy logo on the packaging and the reassurance of a name that has been the brand leader in dishwashing products for decades. These Platinum tabs are no ordinary dishwasher tablet - even the design of the metallic packaging looks superior. The tabs themselves are very strange looking objects with an unusual combination of a powdery base and three separate differently coloured liquid sections at the top. The whole thing is wrapped in a kind of plasticky outer coating but is designed to be shoved straight into the tablet compartment, without needing to be unwrapped at all before use. At the risk of sounding incredibly lazy, I much prefer dishwasher tablets that don't need unwrapping! There is no fiddling about with these at all as they just go straight into the machine.
These tablets are described as an 'all in one' product, helping to justify the high price tag a little, although I still tend to use this in conjunction with added rinse aid and dishwasher salt - if only to prevent the annoying red warning light from automatically showing on my machine. I use this within my standard dishwasher cycle and find them to be an effective cleaning product, leaving my dishes clean and visibly sparkling. I've particularly noticed how effective these are on glasses, which can sometimes end up with a slight almost sandy residue inside from powder based tablets such as Finish Powerballs. There is absolutely no residue left behind when using these tabs and the glasses are absolutely gleaming, with that sparkle I had always looked forward to having from a dishwasher.
My dishwasher is only a compact model so I don't tend to wash too many pots and pans inside to safe space. I do slot in Pyrex roasting dishes and the like after a Sunday roast and have been impressed with the cleaning performance when using the Platinum tabs. With some other brands, I've had to rewash really greasy dishes, or put them through an Intensive wash programme, but Platinum even managed a Pyrex jug used to microwave scrambled eggs and produce gleaming results at the end of it.
The other added benefit of these pricey tabs is that they also claim to clean the dishwasher itself, as well as cleaning the dishes inside! The liquid sections are supposed to be particularly effective at removing grease, even so far as cleaning grease from the machine's filter and degreasing interior parts that aren't even visible. These are fascinating and impressive claims, especially as it helps me to justify not shelling out on a separate and expensive dishwasher cleaning product as often as I intend to. Obviously, using these tablets does not mean that you can avoid emptying and cleaning the interior filter on a regular basis, as they can't prevent any stray bits of food or debris collecting inside the filter. It does seem to make the process less unpleasant as most of the greasy, sticky build up that coats the netting is visibly removed, leaving just the larger pieces to clear away. This seems to be proof indeed that Platinum really does clean beyond the wash load inside and leaves everything, literally, visibly cleaner.
The only minor disappointment with this product is that I don't feel there is any noticeable difference between the original and lemon varieties. I bought the latter expecting to experience a distinct lemon aroma when I opened the dishwasher but I can't really detect any lemon fragrance at all, simply the standard scent of hot, clean dishes. Whilst I obviously don't want my dishes to end up tasting or stinking of lemon, I did expect some results to indicate that I'd actually used the lemon variety.
It is possible to get hold of a money off coupon to print off online via the www.supersavvyme.co.uk website, so might be worth trying to this to get a little extra discount. I would also recommend waiting for a half price promotion as they come around so frequently and I don't think the full price can be justified, despite the thorough cleaning performance.
I'm not sure that I could ever be brand loyal when it comes to dishwasher tablets, as there is a lot of competition in the market and I am always influenced by promotional offers. I can certainly say that Fairy Platinum is one of my favourite brands and one that I would choose to buy whenever it is on offer, due to its superior cleaning performance.
Fairy Platinum Dishwashing Tablets
I am a member of Super Savvy Circle and as such I am sometimes lucky enough to be selected to trial and share the excitement of specific products. It is a bit like being a Bzzz Agent which I know a lot of people know about and it works in a similar way. Apparently 10,000 members are involved in this particular project for Fairy which is an astonishing number.
This time the product was Fairy Platinum dishwashing tablets. I received a full size pack of the liquitabs as well as several recipe booklets which had a £3 off voucher in the back of them. I also received a booklet full of mini questionnaires to hand to friends, relatives, neighbours and so on to ask them what they felt about Fairy Platinum, if they had heard of it and so on. We could share our product with anyone we wanted to in order to spread the word too.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THESE?
Dishwashers have been around for years and so now have dishwasher tablets so what is different about these that makes them worth all this fuss? I have to say they look pretty much like other combination liquid and hard tablet products and I have used Finish Quantum as well as other Fairy products in the past and they have all been much the same. Sometimes they work well and at other times I end up sending the entire thing through again or hand washing all the glasses and mugs as they have a nasty gritty residue left in them. I wasn't really expecting this to be a lot different, but I used them none the less.
These Fairy P tabs claim to " work to clean your dishes brilliantly, while removing even the hidden grease from your dishwasher parts. " The proof is in a cleaner filter," they promise. Fairy P has been awarded the 'Which' Best Buy Award for dishwashing tablets in 2012 for the third year in a row and that award isn't given lightly so they have been thoroughly tested by the public and the 'Which'team.
BENEFITS OF THESE TABLETS
Fairy P has an improved cleaning formula which is better at cleaning baked on food and at the same time de greases the dishwasher as well. The formula is also supposed to reduce the cloudy film on glasses and give them a nice clean squeaky clean shine. Because your dishwasher has no residual grease it smells cleaner and there is a lemon variety which is the one I will be buying next as the non lemon one doesn't actually have any fresh smell and I do like a lemon scent in my dishwasher.
WHAT DO THEY LOOK LIKE?
The tablets are sort of square with rounded corners. The bottom part is hard tablet while the top has three different sections of liquid in three different colours, green, blue and a pale blue. There is no plastic wrapper to take off you just put the whole thing in the tablet section of the machine. I do like no wrap tablets as they are so quick and easy but you do have to make sure the bag is sealed because if water gets into the bag the liquid parts get stuck together and you can't break them apart with the contents spilling over everywhere.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
The special ingredients in the tablets break down the food yuk and then their 'exclusive enzyme system' has an added cleaning boost. Something called 'Protease enzyme' helps clean the food such as egg, milk and protein foods stuck on dishes.
They have increased the surfactants and jiggled the balance of these around so that the grease is broken down and then it is suspended in the water so that it goes down the drain rather than sticking back on the dishes. That is what is in the liquid parts of the tablet.
Finally another secret ingredient has been added to improve the shine on glasses by reducing any filmy residue.
WELL DOES IT DO ALL THAT IT CLAIMS?
Initially I was not wowed as the dishwasher didn't smell lovely and lemony like my lemon Fairy tablets that I was using but I gave it a week or so and indeed the dishwasher was doing a better job. I was getting far fewer things that had gritty yuk left in them. I took the plunge and after a few days thought I had better check the filter and to my surprise it was not covered in grease and yuk. There were a couple of bits of corn and peas - both very clean but not grease at all. I was VERY impressed.
HELPFUL HINTS FOR CLEANER DISHES
In the booklet we received there was a section with useful hints. These are pretty obvious and i always try to do them but all too often my visiting offspring think the dishwasher is magic, you toss the stuff and it carefully re-arranges itself and washes the dishes and all the food left on magically disappears.
So my advice is if you want it done properly, do it yourself. First scrape off any waste food as peas and beans do not get through the filter. Then make sure that all plates are separate, don't have things leaning on each other. Make sure anything with parts that can fill with water have these parts facing down, glasses, mugs etc.
When emptying the dishwasher empty the bottom first then if anything has collected water on the top it doesn't spill onto the bottom stuff. Try and empty the dishwasher as soon as it has cooled as cutlery may tarnish if left in for too long.
Always follow the machines temperature guide lines and obviously pots and pans with baked on food need to go in for a higher temperature of at least 65° but glass ware and the like can a low temperature and a short cycle. If like me your machine is always a mixture then go for what works for you but beware of too hot for things you are not sure of being dishwasher proof.
In order to be more eco make sure that your dishwasher if full before running it through. If you are thinking of buying a new dishwasher then look for one with an A+ rating for water and energy usage where possible. Use the eco mode in your machine when possible and clean the machine out regularly as if it is full of grease then it is less efficient at washing the contents. If you are kitchen planning then do not put the dishwasher next to the fridge as they create a lot of heat and the fridge will have to use more energy to combat this.
WHAT WILL I HAVE TO PAY FOR THESE
They are often on special and I always buy my dishwashing tablets on sale but the RRP for these is
20 tablets - £7.49 30 tablets - £9.99 40 tablets - £12.99 62 tablets - £19.99
Not the cheapest around but they are worth it in my view as they are so much better than most others.
Thanks for reading. This review may be posted on other sites under my same user name.
As a member of the Savvy Circle I committed to spread a word and give my honest opinion about Fairy Platinum dishwasher tablets.
I trusted Fairy brand products before, thus I was very delighted to be involved in the Savvy Circle project to try these dishwasher tablets. Fairy announced that Fairy Platinum dishwasher tablets "work to provide tough grease cleaning for both your dishes and machine with just one tablet". I have to agree - it is really effective for cleaning. Not only but my friend agreed that dishes left brilliantly clean and shiny comparing with other brands dishwasher tablets. However, I can't agree or disagree with idea about removing the hidden grease from my dishwashers filter. My dishwasher is brand new, thus it is quite clean anyway. Probably it would be better to test that with older dishwasher. On the other hand, Fairy Platinum helped to reduce water marks inside the dishwasher (what I found very upsetting before).
I like the cool, clean smell after washes. But to be honest, few my relatives and friends totally disagreed with me in this case. Well, different people like different smells. Thus I would recommend to try Lemon fragranced.
Overall it is the best product I tried for my dishwasher.
We usually use Asda's own brand of dishwasher tablets which are around £4 for 30 tablets. We've been happy using these for years and we're very pleased with the results that these tablets offer.
I was very excited to be able to try and test the new Fairy Platinum Dishwasher Tablets for free, as I'm always taken in by the fantastic advertisements which show amazingly clean and sparkling dishes, but never wanted to spend almost double the money I currently do to try them out.
Upon receiving the tablets, we used one straight away in our dishwasher, and tried the temperature at a lower one to rate the performance. The dishes did come out just as clean at a lower temperature, but we didn't really notice any other differences in the sparkle or cleanliness of the dishes. The dishwasher did also not appear to be any cleaner than when we use our standard Asda tablets.
Overall, the performance, I feel, was a little bit higher than our Asda brand, but with the current recession and increase of food prices anyway, I would not be prepared to pay the extra money to purchase these tablets. They are not a necessity and I feel my Asda tablets as cheaper and perform almost as well as the expensive Fairy Platinum.
I am a member of the savvy circle and am trialling Fairy Platinum. As part of this project we are asked to spread the word about Fairy Platinum sharing our honest opinion with as many people as we can.
The tablets are not individually wrapped, but can be placed straight in the machine. They have different components in little compartments in the tablet: cleverly constructed and attractive with light blue, dark blue and green liquids on the top of the tablet. One of these is the fluid that is the product's unique selling point: it cleans grease from the dishwasher workings (the drainage system, filters and spray arms) with every wash. This obviously enables your machine to function more efficiently.
The tablets are extremely efficient in cleaning and leave the most noticeable shine of all the dishwasher tablets I have used. The plates come out looking as if they have been waxed and polished. There is a very fresh smell that stays in the machine for a long time. Some may find it over-powering: I actually found it hard to breath when the machine was first opened and I have no respiratory problems that I know of. Water marks are virtually non-existent. This is in many ways an excellent product.
A downside is that the tablets are expensive with a recommended retail price of £7.49 for 20 tablets, that's about 36p per wash, when other tablets can be bought for between 5-10p a wash and still get the plates clean, although not so shiny. Dishwasher cleaner is still required if there is limescale to get rid of and since these cleaners also remove grease build up it may be a cheaper option.
The packaging is a plastic pouch that cannot be recycled; though it is light and takes only a small amount of space those concerned with landfill issues might need to look elsewhere.
I have been lucky to get the chance to try out these Fairy Platinum dishwasher tablets for Savvy Circle.
I have to admit our dishwasher is not the most reliable, as it is quite an old one which has been built into the kitchen and was already here when we bought the house. Due to that, I tend to find that the cheapest or unbranded types of dishwasher tablet do not really do a full job and previously I have had to resort to giving dishes an extra wash when taking out from the dishwasher - which defeats the purpose of even having one!
However, as Fairy is a brand that I really trust to do a good job I thought I would give them a try to see if it improves the state of my dishes in the dish washer!
These are quite an advanced tablet with 14 functions including tough stain removal, tea stain removal and liquid and powder detergents. It is an all in one tablet so no need to use anything else, which is great as it makes life easier. You also don't have to unwrap the tablet, you just put it straight in and the outer plastic will just dissove, which I prefer much more than the unwrapping kind.
These tablets are even said to help prevent grease build up on dishwasher parts such as the drainage system, filters and spray arms which I am quite pleased about because like I said our dishwasher is not the newest so it needs all the help it can get!
My dishes are coming out cleaner with these so I am not having to take them out and clean them again afterwards, which is great because I can actually rely on the dishwasher to get the job done!
I definitely find them better than cheaper dishwasher tablets, so I think I will stick to Fairy in future and would recommend them.
I've also posted this on Amazon with the name M. Marikar
I was lucky to be selected to try these dishwasher tablets from Savvy Circle, and I am very impressed.I had been using the cheaper supermarket tablets, streaky dishes and food remnants on platesI read all the guide info, thought no way would a tablet leave my dishwasher free from grease. So with this in mind I tried my first load and have found them great. very Impressed at the cleaning, everything came out spotless, burned on food seemed to just lift and the dishwasher was left clean and smelling fresh. Well Done Fairy on such a great product.
I don't really know why we have a dishwasher, we never use it to save electricity. In fact, we only ever use it when were entertaining or when the mugs are stained to save bleaching them.
None the less we do own a dishwasher and as such need dishwasher tablets. I chose these Fairy platinum tablets quite simply because Fairy is a brand I know and have come to trust. I've used them for years when it comes to washing dishes by hand. These tablets also have glass protection which was important as glasses were also almost relegated to being washed by hand due to the staining they had when they came out of the dishwasher.
What Do Fairy Say?
Fairy claim that these tablets will give you "superior dishwashing and a cleaner machine", this claim is when comparing these tablets to their standard dishwasher tablets.
They claim superior dishwashing as these tablets provide: rinse aid action, salt action, metal shine and glass protection. They claim that these will give you a cleaner dishwasher as they prevent build-up of grease and grime on the drainage system, filters and spray arms.
They also say that as rinse aid and salt is included in the tablets you do not need to worry about adding this as extra in your machine no matter how hard the water is.
As with any product of this type this comes with a rather large collection of warnings.
These are: keep out of reach of children; avoid contact with eyes, if contact is made then rinse the eye and seek medical attention; do not ingest; wear face and eye protection; only use with dry hands; don't let silver touch stainless steel; don't machine wash hand painted china or fine lead crystal; close dispenser immediately after loading the tablet ad do not unwrap or puncture the pouch.
Now maybe it's just me but I don't keep a face mask and goggles in my kitchen for any purpose really, let alone the express purpose of loading my dishwasher! I do understand health and safety but that's taking things a little too far. I've never had any problem with these, none of the packets have burst or leaked and I don't exactly stick my face in them anyway to get any in either my eyes or mouth. However, they say you need face and eye protection so I'll leave that to your discretion!
These tablets are rather large measuring 4cm square and 2cm deep. The majority of the tablet is dishwasher salt but there are two equally sized swirls on the top coloured yellow and blue. The yellow part is the part that cleans the dishes and the blue part is the part that cleans your machine.
Due to the size of these they only just fit in our drawer, fairy do seem to acknowledge that these tablets won't fit everyone's machine as they say that if it doesn't you can also place them on top of the cutlery drawer and start the machine on a cycle without a pre-wash. However as I've not tried this method I can't confirm how well it works.
After I've placed the tablet in the drawer and clicked it shut I set the machine to a 70 degree wash. The packet does say that these will work equally well on a 50 or 55 degree wash thereby saving you money and saving the environment but I think it's a psychological thing - I've had it drummed into me that things clean better on higher temperatures and so the maximum temperature it is.
When the machine has finished having the nervous breakdown consisting of bleeps to rather loudly inform me that it's finished the wash I start unpacking it (why is it unpacking it is always more of a chore then packing?)
Anyway, the dishes have always come out clean. I rinse the dishes anyway before putting them in but I don't worry about trying to get burnt on food off and these tablets have always managed to get even the most stubborn stains off. I mentioned earlier that we use these to remove tea and coffee stains from mugs and they always come out perfectly clean. The metal shine claim is hard for me to judge as mum insists that none of the saucepans go in, however the cutlery always comes out clean and shining so if it can work with the cutlery I see no reason to believe it should be any other way with saucepans. I mentioned at the start of the review that the glass protection is one of the main reasons I bought these tablets and so I'm happy to confirm that this is true. The glasses always come out shining without any water streaks or other marks. We live in a hard water area but don't use rinse aid or salt since these tablets say I don't need to. I've never had any problems with this - as I said the dishes always come out clean without streaks, added marks or dirt that hasn't been removed so I would agree with the claim that this isn't needed.
As for keeping the machine clean, I can confirm that we've never had any visible build-up of grease and grime on my machine nor have I had any problems that could be caused by this. However as I said I rinse the dishes before putting them in and I don't use my dishwasher very often anyway so although it would be nice to say that it was down to the tablets it's hard to tell whether it's the tablets, lack of regular use, the fact I rinse the dishes or a combination of them all.
The only real problem I have found with these tablets is that even when the packets been resealed and kept dry if they're not used for a while the salt tends to stick together quite firmly. This means that it doesn't dissolve properly and I'm left with a line of salt down my dishwasher door. It took me a while to figure out that this is what it was since I originally blamed the dishwasher however now I know that this is possible I simply work the tablet gently between my fingers to loosen the salt before I load the tablet. Since doing this I have completely solved that problem and I've never had a problem with this breaking or tearing the tablet.
Price, Availability And Recommendation
I buy my tablets from ASDA where they cost £10.19 for a pack of 33 tablets. They're not the cheapest tablets available working out to just under 31p per wash. However remember that these include the salt so you're saving a little bit there.
I also strongly believe that when it comes to dishwasher tablets you really do get what you pay for, many of the cheaper ones I tried either struggled to remove stubborn stains or left streaks on the glasses in particular - I experienced none of these problems with these tablets. In fact the only problem I did find was the sticking of the salt but this is easily worked around and softening the salt has become an unconscious habit every time I take a tablet out the pack now so isn't a problem for me at all. Therefore I'm happy to give them the full 5 out of 5.
I am no longer as brand conscious as I was and prefer to save a few pennies or pounds and buy products that are on offer. Fairy is a brand I know and trust so when Tesco had Fairy Platinum on offer at half price I bought a packet even though it wasn't needed for a while!
If Fairy is good enough for the Queen then it is good enough for me too and although I have used normal fairy dishwasher tablets the Platinum promises even better results and a clean dishwasher too.
The tablets are in a pouch with silver edges with FAIRY in bright red and bright green and blue swirls too, quite an attractive package. My pouch contained 33 action packed square shaped plastic coated tablets. The base contains a white powder with a few blue speckles and on top there is some yellow liquid and a deep blue liquid swirl. Each section with its own job to perform.
The platinum tablets are described as being the professional's choice, giving you the confidence to cook anything knowing that it will cut through the toughest grease and get your dishes sparkling. Plus it will also leave your dishwasher clean and sparkling too.
Platinum tablets are said to have Rinse aid action, salt action, metal shine and Glass protection, so many actions in one small tablet. Can this be possible I wondered? I've only got one tablet left so have used the other 32 tablets over a couple of months now and have to say we rarely have had any dishes needing to be re-washed and the dishwasher is looking nice and clean. As we live in a soft water area I don't normally add salt to the dishwasher, so this is perhaps not a benefit having it built in for me.
Strangely enough on the website it shows the liquid as green and blue, but mine is yellow to cut the grease on the dishes and blue to clean the dishwasher. It is easy to use, the tablet is placed into the dispenser drawer and the pouch can be re-sealed to keep dry and safe, as it is an irritant care must be taken not to puncture the plastic wrapper. If it won't fit in the dispenser it is suggested to place it on top of the cutlery and select a programme without a pre-wash. I didn't have a problem and it fitted in easily. Care must be taken not to have wet hands when handling them as they start to "melt, as I discovered one day! As with all dishwashers care should be taken and antique or hand painted dishes should we washed by hand, but I haven't noticed any problems with my dishes with fading or cloudy glasses, so I think the product does what it says and keeps the glasses protected - including some crystal glasses which I felt lazy and washed in the dishwasher!
Baked on foods have come off, tomato based stains on plastic bowls have been removed and therefore I have to congratulate Fairy on a brilliant product.
Now available in Original which I have used and Lemon, they currently cost £10.19 which equates to 30.9 each wash but Tesco have a 44 pouch size on sale for £6.49 which is only 14.8 per wash, so guess what I'll be popping in the trolley on Thursday!
