Fairy Platinum Dishwasher Tablets
by sarahrichmond5
I bought these recently when they were on offer in my local Morrisons. I use my dishwasher at least once a day and hate it when the plates come out and they are not totally clean and have to be re-washed. I had seen these advertised on TV and they looked great so I was excited to give them a try. The tablets come in a clear packet and ... are sold in packs of 20.
The tablets are unusual and different to what I have used before as you do not have to unwrap them you can just put them straight in your dishwasher as they are. I was unsure of how this would work at first but thought id give them a go. The tablets have a liquid in them they are sort of held within a plastic coating (it's a bit hard to explain).
The tablets certainly look great they are in a very cool shape and have two different sections on them one which is to clean the dishes and the others are to clean the dishwasher which will obviously make the dishwashers performance better. The tablets are easy to store as they come in a cool re-sealable pack which is plastic so is waterproof and if it gets wet wont ruin the tablets inside.
I have used these on quite a few occasions now and I am very pleased with the performance of the tablet. I could really notice a difference in my plates and cutlery they really did shine.
The other great thing was that the dishwasher really did smell fresh and clean. All of my glasses had a brilliant shine on them they looked like new! I have used the tablets on both the quick wash and also on the intensive wash and they have fantastic results on both of these, I have used tablets in the past which when I have done a quick wash have not worked but these are great even at lower temperatures.
I paid £3 for the tablets but they are normally around £7 which is a lot when you only get 20 tablets in the pack but they really are excellent so I suppose you pay for what you get!
Despite the price I would recommend these as the performance and outcome they produce is amazing and well worth the money I think. Read the complete review |

Fairy Non Bio Gel
by thriftygiftyisme
I tend to stick to about 3 sets of detergents as my daughter suffers with dry skin, and Fairy Non Bio is one of those that I use, I use the gel of this product. So i buy the fairy for when I do her washing of the bedding.
=The Bottle=
I always find with the bottle that it is easy to store, easy to clean if I spill the ... liquid, and it is easy to use. The bottle is a white plastic bottle, and the measuring part is built into the lid of the gel. The label is blue based, it is clearly labelled as Fairy Bio, and on the back of the bottle it tells you how to use it, what the ingredients are and company contact details.
=Availability=
This can be purchased from most retailers, and is around £6.00 for a small bottle (592ml), but it is worth looking out as it does go on offer. There is also a larger bottle (888ml) size.
=Fairy Non Bio=
Fairy non-bio is designed to make clothes soft and gentle. It has been dermatological tested, and has been endorsed by the British Allergy Foundation.
=Ingredients=
15-30% Anionic Surfactants , 5-15% Non-Ionic Surfactants, Soap , Benzisothiazolinone , Metylisothiazolinone , Perfumes
=How to use=
I pour the gel into the measuring cup, place this in the drum of the washing machine, then pop in the washing
=My Verdict=
I think this is a really good product, my daughters skin doesn't suffer any reactions, and the bedding comes out so soft and smells so fresh. I can tell the difference when I have used the other products, as the fairy does make the washing soft.
=Would I buy again=
I would buy again, and I would highly recommend the Fairy, I would say shop around for the prices as it is on the more expensive side, otherwise I would be using it for every wash. Read the complete review |

Fairy Non Bio Gel
by Chippytarka
I never really paid too much attention to what I washed my clothes in pre children days. And what I mean by that is I didn't care whether is was bio, non bio, used for sensitive skin or not etc. I liked to use particular brands that washed my clothes well but also left a lovely fragrance, like some Surf liquids. Just before I had my ... first child, I was advised by friends who already had children to wash his clothes in Fairy non bio because it was gentle on childrens skin. It also helped that all the Bounty packs I received and websites I went on in regards to pregnancy and babies always mentioned this brand, so I went with it!
I tend to buy either the gel or the liquid, and ideally buy when its on special offer, as I am a very heavy handed with measurements so probably use more than nedded, and with two little ones I am always washing clothes. I tend to go for this form rather than the powder as for me its less messy, the packaging is easier to keep clean and I find the draw that you pop the detergent in easier to clean with liquid rather than powder, if I use the liquid variety
The last time I purchased the small size ( 592ml ) it was £3.00 on special promotion from one of the supermarkets, but they are readily available from all supermarkets in 2 different sizes.
Why choose Fairy Non Bio?
Its designed to make clothes soft, clean and overall gentle and kind to young childrens skin. All Fairy Non Bio products are dermatologically tested and endorsed by the British Allergy Foundation so this can give peace of mind that this is unlikely ( not impossible ) to irritate normal or skin already suffering from skin conditions.
How is it packaged?
Comes in different sizes but in general, the product is in a white plastic container/bottle. The product comes out from the bottom when gently squeezed, and theres a measuring ' cup 'on the top of the packaging to make sure you have the right amount of product.
I love the fact that the packaging itself is small, compact and doesnt takeup a huge footprint if placed under the sink, next to the washing machine etc.
The ususal blue coloured label is on the front with cute baby on top of the Fairy logo. Clearly labelled as Fairy Non Bio so no mistaking what this is and from whom. On the back it states how to use, ingredients, warnings and company contact details.
Ingredients
15-30% Anionic Surfactants , 5-15% Non-Ionic Surfactants, Soap , Benzisothiazolinone , Metylisothiazolinone , Perfumes
How to use
Pop the gel into the measuring cup and place in the washing machine with clothes.Amount needed will vary depending on how dirty the clothes are.
So what do I think of this product?
I think its great. My youngest suffers from eczema so its important that nothing harsh goes onto her skin. Plus I suffer from psoriasis, so it makes more sense to me to wash all of our clothes in this detergent to safe guard my skin also. It cleans the clothes well, and with two small children they can get very dirty. It leaves a lovely clean and fresh fragrance to the clothes ( and the house! ) which isnt overwhelming but very pleasant . Would I buy again? Silly question.I have been using this for the last 4 years and I will continue to do so.As mentioned I try to time my purchasing with special offers to make it more cost effective.
Currently the 888ml sized gel is on offer at Asda for £4.00. The smaller size of 592ml is £6.00. I better run to Asda and stock up......... Read the complete review |
