I walked into my mums the other day and I had the biggest whiff of this pleasantly sweet lingering fragrance, it was as if I was walking through a fresh flower garden on a summers day. I knew something had been sprayed as her house never smells this good. She told me it was Febreze when I asked so when I was next in Sainsburys I was sniffing out most of the Febreze products.

You can purchase allsorts of air fresheners these days, Garden Flowers that, Sweets and Candy this - all claiming to make your house smell fresh - and it does for about 2minutes and then the nasty fishy and smelly feet stench is back with a vengeance. These Febreze sprays however claim to Eliminate Odours rather than mask them the way a normal air freshener would. Yeah right I thought, how can a spray completely get rid of a nasty stink that has been lingering unwantedly in your kitchen for 4 plus hours now.

It comes in a tall tin/can which is white in the middle with Febreze written at the top. It is a baby pink at the bottom with two pink flowers and the top of the bottle is blue. The sprayer is plastic, and has that trigger pull that is on most domestic cleaning products these days. It works differently to these though as you will see later in my review.

It says on the tall, tin with the gun trigger spray 'Discover True Freshness', well that is what I wanted to do. Having two babies, in nappies often leaves my house smelling fousty unfortunately and air fresheners just do not cut it for me, they smell nice for a few seconds and then the smell worsens where the smell of messes and flowers really do not mix well. This always means I have to open windows and doors to allow the rancid smell to flow out of the house slowly, which isn't practical when it's cold or raining outside sometimes.

This just HAD to work for me! I was in need of a solution!

My needy moment came, two nappies had attacked and I needed a quick resolution. Out of my cupboard come Febreze mist and spray - 'Blossom & Breeze by the way - and I got ready for action. Holding my finger on the trigger I quickly pulled it in, expecting small and quick squirts of liquid to spout out making this totally useless. I was surprised however that it does actually spray out as a gentle mist, clouding over areas of my house. The mist didn't actually stop until I took my fingers completely off the trigger. I didn't have to wait anytime at all because as soon as this spray came out of it's tin my house smelt a treat with a real sweet, floral and refreshing fragrance flowing all around me. The dirty stench no longer existed - believe me it had gone completely, it was not mixing in with this sweet, clean fragrance it was actually GONE. It doesn't end here though. It had not only completely rid my house of unwanted odors but the smell remained in the air for a good hour or so later leaving my house smelling beautifully fresh and clean. The smell that is left is not overpowering either, it is light and subtle, it is just enough.

This is a perfect spray to rid smells such as baby nasties, cooking aromas especially from curries, it would work brilliantly as a quick fix to any foul smells when you have any visitors.

There are other scents you can purchase but this was the first one I picked up and gave a quick sniff at so because I liked it I bought it there and then. A tin of this costs me just over £2.60 in Sainsburys at the time, although this seems a little pricey I think it has definitely been worth the money. A little of this air freshener really does go along way and it has lasted me well over 2months now.

I have heard that there may be an ingredient in Febreeze that is harmful to pets. It is worth googling it if you are worried.

I use this too & was surprised by this one, and the fact that the fragrance actually lasted.
Well reviewed! x
