“ Brand: Febreze / Type: Candle / Category: Home Fragrance „
When it comes to candles I simply love buying them. Being the responsible owner of four gorgeous hamsters I am really wary of spraying anything about that may irritate them or harm them in any way so a safe option for me is to light a candle and for that reason I have rather a few scattered about my flat not just to keep my home smelling fresh and giving the feeling of clean but also to give a nice bit of cosy light of an evening!
This one I spotted in my local Asda store on offer at a £2.00 and knowing the brand and the saving I was making I opted to purchase the Soothing Sandalwood fragrance candle.
The box the candle comes in has see-through plastic sections and mustard coloured cardboard to it and on the front if it we are told that it is Fabreze Candles 'Eliminates odours and freshens the air' and that of course it is Soothing Sandalwood fragrance and that it lasts up to 30 hours. Other information on the box includes being told a bit about the product, the weight is stated (which in this case is 155g) and a rather large candle actually, warnings are listed and contact details for Procter & Gamble are given (the manufacturer of the product). Nice enough, easy to open packaging this is and of course it is as informative as it needs to be!
The Candle Itself:
Well the candle itself comes in like a large see-through plain glass tumbler, rather large and is just over half way filled with mustard coloured wax and with a large white wick to the centre of it. Lighting it is of course very simple indeed and your meant to put it on a heat resistant surface as the glass does get warm the longer you leave the candle burning for.
This particular scented candle smells lovely. It has a gentle, soothing fragrance of sandalwood to it that isn't harsh or takes breath away. Its a clean, delicate but very apparent fragrance this one and really does eliminate nasty whiffs when lit and is as said on the box time and time again rather soothing to the senses.
I have found this to light with ease every time I have gone to light it, that it burns easily and thankfully providing you make sure the wick is central when lighting it, it doesn't leave black marks on the glass making it look a mess either.
Yes this also gives about 30 hours burning time too give or take a little. I light mine for hours at a time with no issues at all and have had about 20 hours from it so far with plenty of wax left!
This is a nice, subtle soothing candle, gives off a large flame and I think its worth every penny!
Available in all good supermarkets etc and if not on offer expect to pay around £4.00 for this.
