Advantages: Great smell, removes odours as it should
Disadvantages: No specific disadvantages
Its cold, and rainy, the dog has just been outside, and comes in smelling like a wet chicken! Panic!! I have my boss and his wife coming for dineer, and the last impression I want to leave is of a messy housewife, living on a compost heap!
But never fear....my Febreze Vanilla Cream Candle saves the day better than Superman on steroids!
Im one of those girls who can easily be bribed with a lovely smell, and add to that the soft glow of candle ligt, and I'm putty in your hands.
I bought this candle for two reasons. One, because I have used the Febreze range before, and felt it really does make a difference to the smell of your home, and especially fabric items, and two, because I absolutely love the smell of vanilla, and as I walked down the aisle in Tesco, this candle smelled so beautifully and strong, I just had to buy it.
At £5.99, it is probably on the bit more expensive side for a candle, but bear in mind the candle also comes in a nice glass container that you could always re-use after, and it makes it more worthwhile.
It is part of a range that also includes Morning Dew, Cotton Fresh and just perfect for the Christmas season, Apple Spice.
The vanilla cream candle is a lovely creamy beiege colour, and as I said comes in a see-through glass holder, with a nice thick bottom, so it wont burn your furniture if you put it down on Grandma's sideboard.
The smell is just heavenly. Vanilla always reminds me of exotic holidays, and the vanilla smell of this candle is especially rich and divine. For me the real test of a candle is whether the smell of the candle is strong enough to fill the room once it is lit. This candle did just that in my opinion. I felt it needed at least 45 minutes or so for the smell to completely spread through the room and eliminate all those not so pleasant odours. The smell also lingered for a good few hours after I put the candle out.
The candle supposedly works on the same princilpe as the Febreze fabric spray, as it contains a core with the special Febreze odour eliminators, and as the candle burns, these are continously released into the air.
It promises that it should be able to burn for at least 30 hours, but so far I have not been able to proof that, as I never leave it on for more than a couple of hours, otherwise I feel the smell also gets too strong. The only problem I see is that the wick gets more difficult to light as the candle burns lower, but that is always a problem with any candle in a deeper container, and not exclusivly to this product.
Well, my dinner is over, my reputation intact, and I ma now going to retire to my bath, foam it up, light my candle, and imagine I'm somewhere much nicer.....See you!
Summary: I can light this anytime!
