Advantages: smells lovely!
Disadvantages: expensive.
This is one product i swear by!
There is a wide range of different aromas from the Febreze range, including -
>pet odour eliminator,
>allergen reducer,
>original,
>spring renewal,
>blossoms & breeze
>summer splash
to name a few. I will be reviewing the Summer splash version.
I bought this one from my local semi-chem shop for £1.99 but if you shop around for it you can get it anywhere between £1.50 and £2.50! for a 500ml bottle
It is a pale blue opaque type pump action spray bottle with a yellow pump. There is a picture of melons just under the febreze logo, It says it is a fabric refresher and it claims to elimate odour and freshens.
Now i say this is a great product for me, but why i hear you say?
Well up until a short while ago my daughter was going through a little phase of bedwetting, be it because she had just started school or was missing me because i had started college and am working too I really don't know, (fortunately this has stopped)
As it is very uncomfortable for her to sleep on those damn awful plastic sheets, I had a serious problem with trying to keep her bed clean and fresh, I was spending a fortune on those pampers sheets which are tiny for a 4yr old, and my daughter moves about bed a lot so they were pointless.
So the only thing I could do was strip her bed every morning, bung the bedclothes in the laundry and give the mattress a good scrub and then my choice was to leave it out to air....not a great idea in this freezing cold scottish weather or my other option was to spray with a fabric freshener.......In steps Febreze!
After giving mattress a good clean, I sprayed the affected area liberally with febreze, mmmm a lovely aroma of fresh honeydew melons drifted past my nostrils.....
As it is now pretty wet my only problem is getting it dry for bedtime, I let it dry as much as I can and then if it still isn't 100% dry by bedtime i cheat and use hairdryer!
I have used this on curtains, sofas, carpets, even bedlinen in between washes.
I also use the allergen reducer spray on the kids carpets/bedding etc too a couple of times a week, as both my children suffer from asthma.
To me this is money well spent, and I will continue to use this until I find something which works better for me.
There is one little warning on the bottle and that is to do a patch test on a hidden piece of the fabric you want to treat, especially on anything delicate like suede, silk or leather!
I hope this has been of some help to you,
Thanks for reading :-)
