I only just paid enough attention to notice these on the supermarket shelf.
priced at £1.99 each I was a bit dubious about buying one but I thought I'd try anyway.
Lemon scented and shaped like a disc, they just hook onto one of the racks....make sure the arm doesnt hit it. The first few times I used my dishwasher the lemon scent drifted right through the house.
The freshener lasted about 2 months so was well worth the money. I suppose the lasting time depends on how often you use your dishwasher.
My dirty dishes came out smelling fresh but not overpowering, and my dishwasher is kept deodorised.
Definately a must have.
