Flash Bathroom Spray
Advantages: No residue, great cleaning and easy to use
Although I have tried own brands in a lot of areas in an effort to save money one product that I haven't been tempted to try an alternative for is this Flash bathroom cleaner. I regularly use it to clean my bath, shower and sinks and have been impressed with it since it was first recommended to me by my Mum.
This Flash bathroom is a spray and comes in the typical shaped bottle for these products. The bottle is made of a sturdy plastic with a decent sized trigger for the spray. As expected on a cleaning product it has a child safety nozzle with on/off positions. Now I have toddlers in the house I have to remember to turn it to off before returning it to the cupboard where in the past I have just left it 'on'.
The bottle gives the normal warnings of avoiding contact with your eyes, keeping it away from children and avoiding prolonged use if you have sensitive skin. I always wear rubber gloves when using this and other cleaners as I find they really dry my skin out.
This spray is really easy to use and although the label recommends that you leave it on for 5 minutes I rarely do this as I always seem to be in a rush when I'm cleaning. You are then advised to rinse or wipe with a damp cloth. I use a bathroom cleaning sponge and find that this works really well, I only need to spray a few times when cleaning the bath and the product foams up really well on the sponge. I can then give the bath a good scrub round before rinsing. Once I've rinsed the bath is left really clean with no residue like I've had with cleaning products in the past, I hate getting into a bath that has a residue of bath cleaner. This cleaner also helps to keep your bath clean by preventing watermarks occurring.
It doesn't remove all of the limescale build up around my taps but the taps themselves come up really shiny. I do live in a hard water area so expect to have to use a limescale remover on occasion.
Price and Availability
I paid £1 for a 500ml bottle in Tesco when it was on offer. It is currently £2 but can be found on offer at Sainsbury's for £1 until 2nd October 2012. I like to stock up when it is on offer so I always have a spare without having to pay full price.
Would I recommend?
Yes, this is the best bathroom cleaner I've tried and so I've stuck with it for years. Well worth a try and great value if you can buy it on offer for a pound.
Summary: A great bathroom cleaning spray from flash
