Advantages: Sparkly clean loos and a nice scent.
Disadvantages: Too limited in it's use.
Most of the time at work I get to choose the cleaning products that I use but, occasionally I am given a batch of cleaning products by the boss. This is the case with Flash Cleaning Spray with Bleach of which I have two bottles, both now nearly used up.
The spray comes in a white plastic trigger bottle with a red collar to distinguish it from other products in the range and contains 500ml. On the front it states "Flash with Bleach, power and hygiene .New fresher scent. Fresh Eucalyptus scent." there is also a picture of a bath and a cooker and a little eucalyptus leaf too! On the reverse are the instructions for use. This cleaner is designed for cooker tops, sinks, tile surfaces and enamel surfaces. it also comes with quite a lot of things to avoid. As it contains bleach it should be rinsed immediately after use on metal, rubber and vinyl to avoid damage.Do not use on worn or pitted surfaces, painted or varnish surfaces, copper, brass and aluminium and avoid using on textiles. In fact just treat it like bleach!
How to Use.(Beware the pink spot!)
Turn the trigger nozzle to on and spay the area until thoroughly covered. The spray comes out easily and goes white and frothy when it hits the surface. the scent is pleasant and fresh with a hint of eucalyptus. For tough stains leave for a max of 1 min. Pay attention to this as I didn't the first time I used it (should have gone to spec savers!) and ended up with a pink loo seat where the spray had discoloured it. I had left it about three minutes but it was enough to leave pink marks and I had to scrub away with Cif to get the stain off. Anyway after you have used it, (quickly,) rinse and wipe with a dry cloth.
My Opinion.
I have used it mainly in the toilets, baths and sinks and it does leave these sparkling clean with a nice fresh scent with a hint of eucalyptus but I think that it's use is very limited and I am dubious about spraying bleach about in a rather uncontrolled fashion. I am quite confident about using it on enamel and tile surfaces but personally, I would leave it at that. I have not used it in the kitchen but it does say to let hot surfaces cool down before use. Treat it with all the caution that you use with bleach .Do not get it in your eyes, or swallow. Keep away from children and keep upright. The bottle, not the children.
Due to it's limitations I award it 4 stars.
Readily available in supermarkets, I have seen it priced from 1.00 pounds to about 2.30 pounds.
Thanks for reading my review which may also be posted on Ciao under splishsplash.
Summary: A cleaning spray with bleach power, treat with caution.
