I have one of those annoying bathrooms that seems to attract dirt, and I am forever wiping it. Of course it may have something to do with my four year old daughter and one year old son, who love to chase each other about the place before having extra splashy bathtimes together, which often involve things getting thrown about. Wet floors and mucky children are not a good mix!
I tend to use a bathroom spray to give the bathroom a quick once over, but I do tend to have a pack of wipes tucked away for extra-quick cleans. My daughter likes to use these too which is an added bonus!
As with all wipes these come in quite a slim plastic pack emblazoned with the familiar Flash and Febreze logos. They promise to safely clean all surfaces leaving behind the fresh scent of Mediterranean lemons!
The wipes themselves are fairly thick and have a slightly rough surface, and they are very simple to pull out of the pack - and of course they're ready to use straight away! I tend to use these mainly on the floor but also to give the basin a quick once over too, and for these straightforward jobs these do the trick in a (pardon the pun...) flash. They clean really effectively and I don't have to rub or scrub too hard to get rid of any stubborn marks. I do also use these occasionally on my daughter's bedroom floor, which is laminate wood and tends to pick up dust quite easily, as well as other marks. Again these work a treat and my daughter can help out with these and even she can get the job done quite well!
These are supposed to smell fresh and clean and I have to say they do - and they do leave behind a clean lemon scent. This isn't my favourite fragrance in the world, and I would prefer the Febreze scent that I associate with their fabric freshener, but this is a very minor gripe.
Overall these are very good wipes, and useful to have if you need to give surfaces a quick wipe down. They leave surfaces really clean and they're easy to use. I think that ultimately I do prefer to use a spray cleaner, but as cleaning wipes go these are certainly very good ones!
These are available from most supermarkets, and cost a couple of quid but are frequently on offer.
As much as I love my little family I have a husband and 2 young girls and none of them seem to know how to keep a bathroom tidy so I give it a wipe around nearly everyday. I don't give a full clean all the time so like bathroom wipes so it's easy to give a quick wipe around and these are one of my favourites.
The wipes are available in supermarkets and the smaller packets are sometimes in the discount type stores, a packet of 60 wipes is usually about £2.50 however when Asda put on their cleaning events you can get them for £1 a packet which is great value and when I always stock up.
The wipes come in a bright blue packet which has a pull back area in the middle for you to get the wipes out of just like a packet of baby wipes. The Flash logo is across the packet so it is easy to see what company the wipes are from, the scent of these is lemon which is stated on the pack and the pictured lemons indicate too. On the back of the packet you get the usual contact details for the company, warnings about the product and a list of ingredients.
The wipes are white in colour and they have a textured feel and looks to them, the wipes are nice and moist and the resealable packet means they don't dry out. The wipes smell like lemons and have a lovely clean scent to them which I love, you can really smell them even a few hours after I have wiped around the bathroom. The wipes are easy to get out of the packet and although the pack as they are packaged perfect so that as you pull one wipe out the end of the next one pulls up ready.
I find the wipes clean really well and leave the bathroom nice and shiny, as I never really let the bathroom get dirty the wipes don't really have a really hard job to do anyway. I love these wipes they make cleaning more convenient and are fantastic for a quick whizz around if you suddenly get unexpected guests.
The only problem with these wipes is the price if you don't pick them up when they are on offer, I go through a pack of these about once a fortnight which is ok at £1 a pack but I would never buy them at £2.50 a pack. I give these 4 stars as they are really great wipes it's just the full price that lets them down.
When it comes to household cleaning I can be a tad OCD, I've always been the same. My surfaces have to be clean all the time or at least when I am in the house. There are times when I just need to give my kitchen table a wipe over (especially after my daughter has eaten!) or quickly wipe down the utility worktop where the cats are fed. For these little jobs I tend to favour cleaning wipes as I just find them easy and convenient.
In Tesco at the moment (review written 19th Nov 2012) Flash have reduced their prices to £1 for their all-purpose wipes. I took full advantage and bought a pack of the Flash with Febreze All Purpose Cleaning Wipes in Mediterranean Lemon. I like Flash products and tend to have at least one of their products in my cupboard at any one time. I like the results and find them good value for money and for just £1 I thought the wipes were worth trying.
What are they?
Flash wipes are of course quick and convenient making the household chore a lot easier to deal with. They combine Flash's cleaning 'technology' together with a fresh Febreze scent of either Mediterranean Lemon, Mediterranean Orange and Anti Bac. Flash have used natural extracts to ensure the wipes clean effectively. They are safe to use on any hard, washable surfaces and once used there is no need to wipe the area dry.
The wipes come in a bright blue plastic pack (60 per pack) which has a clear re-sealable tab. On the front there is the large yellow Flash logo together with images of lemons in a blue, white and yellow colour theme. On the back of the pack there is information about the product itself, how to use it, warnings and contact information for Flash. The one thing I find useful is putting the pack in a plastic tub as the re-sealable tab can easily stop becoming sticky!
The wipes are white in colour and slightly textured, similar to that of kitchen role except slightly longer in length and of course quite moist, slightly wetter than a wet or baby wipe which is nice as you know it will hopefully clean the surface. These wipes really do smell of lemons. However, it isn't that horrible sharp, cleaner type lemon scent it is much more of a fresh almost quire realistic lemon scent!
To use the wipes you simply take one out the packet and wipe the chosen surface and that's it! I do find that these wipes are wet enough to actually clean the surface effectively and you can easily see where the wipes have been. It doesn't however take long for the surface to become completely dry may be a few seconds before the surface is dry which is great and you still get a lovely but subtle lemon scent which does linger for quite sometime.
Now I don't know how well these wipes would deal with dried on stains and marks as I never use it on such issues as I simply wipe down the kitchen worktops, kitchen table etc and they easily manage with basic day to day dust and dirt such as my daughter's yoghurt, pasta sauce etc! The wipes are incredibly tough and durable and don't break apart in your hand. They keep my surfaces clean and I really have no complaints whatsoever.
For just £1 I think these wipes are great, they do exactly what they say whilst keeping my surfaces incredibly clean with a subtle scent left behind. You only need to use one wipe at any one time as they are quite large in size and strong so the pack of 60 wipes will last for quite some time. Definitely a recommendation from me and can easily give them 5 stars.
