When it comes to banishing nasty odours from my home I tend to think that you can't usually beat opening windows.... however lets face it sometimes its too cold/noisy outside or you have such a nasty niff you just want to get rid fast and for that reason I usually have a can of something or other air freshener wise around.
The other day whilst in my local Nisa store I spotted this brand on sale in rather a few fragrances for 79p a large can and looking at the brands they had stocked and the limited fragrances and price of those I decided to grab the one I am reviewing here which is 'Jasmine & Honeysuckle' Room Fragrance. I couldn't get to sniff it in store but plumped for it because I liked the look of the can!
This fragrance comes in a long, cylinder style of can that has a push button inserted almost into the top of the lid which is aerosol style. On the front of the can there is a picture of pink and white flowers and we are clearly told that it is Flower Shop Jasmine & Honeysuckle Room Fragrance 'Natures fragrance brought into your home for long lasting freshness' and that the can is a 330ml size (I got 30ml free) and then on the back of the can other information listed includes being told how to use it, the ingredients are given and all that information is given in quite a few different languages too and contact details for the manufacturer are clearly stated. Nice looking and easy to use can this is.
All you do to use this of course is to press the button for as long as you want to, to dispense the scent which is easy to do so. However if you don't appreciate wet sprays then your going to have to be mighty careful when using this one because it really is a wet room air freshener!
The first time I sprayed it I simply sprayed it into the middle of the room and rather quickly just to see if I liked it or not. I shot liquid up some newly painted walls to which this marked it and it went and settled on and over my black tv set and basically all over the place! Luckily however I was able to wipe it off easily from the tv and the paint work dried quickly leaving no sightings of this which did give me some concern!
No matter how much I use and for how long I press the button I do get residue settling, its not so bad on carpeted areas as it doesn't saturate or anything like that but on wooden/ lino floors this can be seen and needs a wipe or dries looking sticky and really....don't get this anywhere near glass or mirrors!
No matter what I have done I just can't help but make a mess with this one and you can really see the wet mist coming out every time you use it!
However its a real pity about all that because the scent of this really is lovely and very pretty and feminine. I can really smell the white floral honeysuckle and the jasmine is like the bottom note and the two scents really do compliment eachother beautifully and overall it has a lovely natural sweetness to it. It isn't a harsh scent and it is quite strong so you don't need to use very much of this at all (just as well!) and it covers up nasty aromas once sprayed for a good half an hour or so and then when the fragrance of this has gone its took nasty smells with it!
Its a real shame that I can't recommend this one to anyone due to it being such a wet style of room fragrance but I do love the fragrance of this one and will be looking for a similar fragrance to this from a different brand!
Google if interested or try Nisa stores, B & M and discount type of shops but really.....don't bother!
As I have mentioned in my previous reviews my eldest cat has been unwell and now also had dementia, which means she sleeps and does her toileting sometimes where she is on the spot and so I am using lots of air fresheners to help keep my home smelling nice and clean and so I am using lots of air fragrances and I came across this one from a village shop I regular visit when I visit my friend.
It comes in a can with an inserted nozzle, the can design is quite nice looking, purple and white, and I paid only 60p for this one from my local shop and I thought it was a good price to try in my home and help save money, as I am trying to try the cheaper ones at the moment to see if I can save money as I am using so much of these sprays.
The one I bought is 330ml but it tells me on the top of the can there is 30ml extra free, and so every little extra helps when on offer, I had never used this one before I had bought it a couple of weeks ago and it is a Lavender fragrance, which is one that I love the smell in rooms.
This one does have a nozzle that is very easy to press, and the spray disperses into the air evenly, but I did find that on a couple of occasions after I had been spraying for a couple of seconds, that it came from the can in a direct line and not a spray and on these occasions, the spray has sprayed onto some of my furniture and ceilings around the home and I do not like sprays that tend to not evenly spray at all times as that is not the reason I bought them in the first place, I buy them to spray around the room evenly so they smell nice.
I did find that this one does really have a lovely fragrance to it, and when it does spray evenly, the moisture in the air from the spray is quite light and the smell does last for quite some time, which is what I really like with air fresheners and this one certainly did have a beautiful smell.
I really did like this spray for every reason other than the occasional direct spray problem and I did shake the can before use as that allows the spray inside to mix together but it still had the same effect and I just was not pleased with this one for that reason only but the texture of the spray is light and the quality of the spray for me was a very good one, but I do not think I would buy it again, but only for the reason it sometimes for me when I have used it has the direct spray, as it then makes harder work for me to clean my home and remove the particles of spray from my furniture and it is just not worth it in my opinion.
I only give this one 4 stars.
Thank you for reading my review.
We all burn something now and again, go on you can admit it, even if it is only toast and the tale tale smell seems to get everywhere yelling out that toast has been burnt again. A way to get rid of it with a pleasant but not overwhelming perfume is with Flower Shop Air fragrance. I use the apple and jasmine one. I paid £1.49 for this but of course the price will vary. It comes in 300 ml. I like this as the top has a good indentation for the pressing finger and you havent got to worry that it will spray out at you or have to look for that tiny hole. It squirts out from the top so goes straight up. Does it work to cover smells besides burnt toast you ask. In one word Yes. It is used in my Sons bedroom to cover up the smell of smoke - yes Son I do know by the cigarette ends in the bin when I enter it not by the smell. It is used to cover the awful smell of oil and petrol which has got into the porch where they have quietly done something for the bikes and cars. Again Air Fragrance done its job its the give away marks of oil and petrol on the floor not the smell. In the kitchen it covers up a multitude of sins. Only tale tale mark is in the bin. So if you have all this and want to cover it up without being noticed doing so then this is definately the air freshener to use.
