Advantages: Removes the smell of garlic and onions from your hands

Disadvantages: None

My cooking consists of lots of fragrant ingredients, such as garlic, onion and ginger, and whilst my taste buds are happy, my nose is less content with the unpleasant odours left on my hands.

I'd read that stainless steel will remove the bad smells and my search for the perfect product led me to the Fresh Hands Stainless Steel Soap from Lakeland.

You simply rub the smooth stainless steel disc with your hands under running water and it will remove the nasty stench from your hands. Gone are the days when my hands would stink of garlic for up to two days after I'd cooked with it! There's nothing worse than the other half sniffing you with a look of distaste like you've just farted!

I'm afraid I have no idea how the stainless steel works in neutralising odours (I was always rubbish at science!), but the important thing is it does work! Of course you could just use a stainless steel piece of cutlery, but I don't fancy rubbing my hands with a spiky fork or a bumpy spoon.

The Stainless Steel Soap is so handy to have by the sink in its own little soap dish and it costs less than £5, so I think it's a brilliant addition to any kitchen.

Costs £4.88 from Lakeland.

PS. Sorry this review is so short, but there isn't really anything else for me to say!

Summary: So simple and yet so effective.

What a clever idea! I have never heard of this before reading your review, Susan

Sounds interesting. Never heard of such a thing. Guess it doesn't do much for germs and stuff though, which may be a disadvantage as opposed to using normal soap.
