We have had a George Foreman Grill for a few years now, and while I really love the simplicity of using it, it does come at a cost: unless you clean it straight away, it can be an absolute nightmare to clean. Once that grease or fat or anything cools down and sticks on there, the grill shaped nature of it means that getting into the groove isn't quite as easy as Madonna found it!! (sorry, sorry...) Enter these funky grill pads. The cleaning sponges are just like regular sponges that would buy: one side has a scouring pad, while the other has a softer sponge, for the parts you don't want to scratch the protective covering off of. These were recommended in a Dooyoo review and as I also hated cleaning our G F grill because of the way they are designed and I thought I would give them a try as they appeared to do the job especially in the areas around the spikes and the raised grills where food and fat gets trapped. Each sponge is made up of two sides, a black one which acts as a scourer and a blue one that is a softer sponge. In addition they have a grooved shape so that they fit in the raise grills making cleaning a lot easier. Who knew such a clever little invention existed!! We really like using our George Foreman grill! But I despise cleaning it - though it is "nicer" to clean than the oven grill or the BBQ. If you've ever used a George Foreman grill you'll know what I mean. For those that haven't, let me explain. George Foreman grills have raised line/grills on the top plate and the bottom plate. On the bottom plate the raised grills finish at the end and come up as what could be described as "spikes".
