Advantages: Easy to use, lovely scent that lasts, variable settings
Disadvantages: Scent bottle wobbles but this shouldn't cause a problem
I stumbled across the Glade Circul'air whilst wandering around Asda last week. I immediately thought it was a good idea as I live in an old farmhouse where the rooms are large, the normal plug in fresheners don't seem to do a lot, the scent seems to linger around the plug sockets. The main thing that attracted me was the fact that Asda have the entire unit, with scent bottle and 50p off your next purchase voucher for £2.00!
I bought the 'Island Breeze' scent, as it sounded very summery and fresh, Glade describe it as "a fresh sparkling fragrance with a hint of lime and red berries, to give a summer feeling to your home" and it does exactly what it says on the tin! The only downside is that, unlike other brands that have a 'scratch and sniff' type sticker on the packaging you have no idea of the scent that you are buyng unless you've either bought it before or know someone who has.
The Glade Circul'air is very simple to use, in fact, no different to the original Glade plug-in.
The directions are simple;
1. Remove cap and insert bottle into the diffuser. Keep cap for future use. Plug the diffuser in and switch the socket on. After a short period Glade Circul'air will begin to freshen the room.
2. Adjust the setting: Use the adjuster to make the fragrance lighter or stronger. The higher the setting, the stronger the fragrance released.
I have mine in my very large, wide open hallway, set on number 3, which is halfway. Every so often the fan kicks in for a few seconds. The fan is very quiet, barely noticable in fact.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the scent bottle doesn't seem to fit very tightly. I actually removed and reinserted it, thinking that it wan't in properly, but it was, it just wobbles, though I shouldn't think that this is a problem, since the diffuser should be sat very still in your electrical socket, unless you have a very inept electrician!
I'm thoroughly pleased with mine, I was sceptical to begin with, having many various animals and children running in and out accompanied by the dogs for the best part of the day, not to mention the cats litter tray, I've bought many 'amazing' products previously, which don't cut it, now I am greeted by a lovely, fresh scent everytime I venture into the hallway.
*****UPDATE*****
Since writing my initial review I have discovered that the Glade Circul'air was on offer at ASDA at the price of £2.00. It is an offer that they seem to promote quite often. The standard price that this product retails for at ASDA is £2.98.
I apologise if this caused any confusion.
*****UPDATE*****
Summary: Absolutely fantastic...10/10 for the high traffic household!

- 27/06/08 Welcome to Dooyoo. A good start here but could do with updating with the actual price you paid - this will give future buyers an idea of how much this item actually is rather than confuse the voucher offer. Seems like Glade is doing exactly what Air Wick do - by using established scents they are fitting them to new ways of freshening your home. So if you pick up the normal spray can version you can usually smell that scent first if the same "flavour" is featured on the plug in.
If you update your review pls let me know. |
