My cat prefers to go out side for his toilet and as he likes to be out all day there isn't usually a problem with this. However, as we keep him in at night for his own safety, there are occasions when he can't quite "hang on" until morning and that is why we provide him with a litter tray!

Like most cats, he is very clean and covers up his toilet but, as I am sure other cat owners will agree, that smell of ammonia (and poo) first thing in the morning can knock you sideways! Unfortunately the smell doesn't always go away after lifting the offending litter from the tray and that is why I use Glade Litter Fresh. A little shake of this powder each time I clean the tray nicely covers any lingering smells and doesn't seem to put puss off using the tray - as he can be rather fussy about such things! I can't really describe the scent of the product except to say that it is has a pleasant fresh smell and is an awful lot better than ammonia (or worse)!

If you are a cat owner you will know that there are an awful lot of cleaning products that are dangerous to cats so it is good to find a product that is made specifically for cats.

Glade is manufactured by SC Johnson and is very reasonably priced at around 95p for a 400g drum. Only a couple of shakes are needed each time to banish the smells and make the surrounding area more fragrant as well.

I would recommend it to any cat owners with litter trays as a good product that does what is says and at a reasonable price.
