Its the size and very like the shape of an old fashioned boiled travel sweet tin.....not terribly chic at all.....I'm asking myself why on earth I bought them??! Lets hope they fill my rooms with lots of nice heavenly smell that really lasts! So, what are these things all about? I went on the Glade website, its not brilliant let me tell you, but here goes: Glade scented oils are a solid candle that once lit the candle melts into the po...more

Premium Review Glade Scented Oils Candles: Not enough scent (256 words)

Last night I expected my house, or at the very least my living room to be full of the smell of spiced apple after purchasing one of these Glade Scented Oils candles for £3.75. For that you get a glass holder and 2 scented oil refills. The scented oils are a solid block like a candle with a metal wick by which it is secured to the aluminium centre piece in the glass holder. When you light the normal wick the candle melts to leave the liquid oils in the jar which then burn off. Well the smell is very nice but it is in no way strong enough and unless you were really standing by it you could not detect anything, now my lounge is quite long and I reckon ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Glade Scented Oils Candles: Expensive, but lovely and long lasting (404 words)

In my lounge (I call it my own, it is actually my Mum's!) I like to have a floating candle centrepiece on the coffee table. I think it adds a wonderful sense of occasion and makes the room look and feel cosy. I am a candle and scent addict, I like my place to smell warm, welcoming and clean. Last week in a mad purchasing frenzy I bought £30 worth of cleaning products, and in amongst this was the Glade Scented Oil Candle. I'm pretty sure these used to come in a little bowl / dish (much like an oil burner), but now they come in a lovely patterned tin, I purchased the Festival in Tuscany, which is a black white and pick floral funky patterned tin and a dark ...  Read the complete review

Glade Scented Oils Candles I have bought these since they were first introduced to our shelves a few years back. When they first came out they were very expensive, at around £7 for the burner, and £3.50-£4 for the candles for a pack of three candles. Since then the price of the burner has come down quite a lot (they are now around £4), whilst some of the candles have come down in price and are now £1.99, whilst some of them are still £3.50 (The Tuscany candle is still this price!). There are quite a lot of scents which you can buy for the oil burner, which as I said come in packs of three, (no more no less!) and which you can buy from all major ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Glade Scented Oils Candles: NICE-Y BUT PRIC-Y (404 words)

I saw these for sale probably about a year ago and wanted them, but they were quite pricey at around £5.50 for the unit and 2 candles, and the refill packs at that time were £3 for 3. However while wndering down the Candle/Cleaning aisle in Asda about 3 months ago the unit packs were on offer for £2.50. Bargain I thought and had myself a pack. The packaging is quite large and looks posh enough. There is a cardboard base and about halfway up is cardboard as well. The rest of the pack is a cellophane part where you can see the unit and candle inside. So what's the idea around this? Well it is a candle that melts into an oil, and the oil burns away ...  Read the complete review
