I guess this stuff came out about ten years ago. I remember it, because I couldn't believe how great it was. I had been hoovering for my mum for years, and although that got the place clean, it didn't smell nice, and then came this! Shake n Vac is a great air freshener that costs just £1 for a 400gram pot. It is made of powder that you sprinkle on the carpet before hoovering.

When you hoover, the hoover sort of pushes it into the thread of the carpet, and hoovers it up too. The stuff in the carpet stays there and scents it, whereas the stuff in the hoover circulates around the room. The end result is that your house smells really nice, which is a small price to pay for such a good thing.

There are different 'flavours' to get, all having a floral type scent to them that is summery and fresh. It dies down after a day, but can still be sniffed out after as much as a week.

All in all, a lovely little bargain that will make your house smell as good as it looks.
