      Glade Wisp Flameless Candle

Im have a shocking confession to make. Even though I am 18 years old Im not allowed real candles in my room! Pathetic or what lol. But my mom doesnt trust me with fire of any kind, shes scared Ill fall asleep and set fire to the house or something so shes always joking about buying me some flameless candles for my room. But the other day I was in town and I noticed a massive stack of the Glade Flameless Candles in the 99p Shop window in all different scents and sizes so I dragged my mate inside and I picked up one for myself and one for my mom.
Unlike the image attached to this review my candle is actually a little bit smaller and pink in colour (my moms was red) but other than that the design is pretty much the same. Now I tried mine out that very night because to be honest I wanted to see how this would compare to a real candle.

In each packet you get a coloured tub (for want of a better word) and two infills(like little rubber disks) in different colours which both have a different smell. I personally chose a Rose & Vanilla scented infill for mine but they are available in loads of different scents so your sure to find one you like. So when I got mine home I decided to put the blue infill (Vanilla) into my candle and turn it on using the little switch at the bottom. Now I knew from the off that this wasnt going to be exactly like a proper candle but I was still expecting it to be slightly better than it was.

I left this little light flickering away by my tv so I could have a look and see whether it resembled candle light in the slightest and it kind of did. It does really flicker like a proper flame and I think if you ddint tell someone that this was fake they wouldnt be able to tell at a first glance. The noly problem I found is that it didnt smell anything like a scented candle should. The smell wasnt wafting around the room at all and I coudl noyl get a faint whiff if I put the candle right by my nose so it failed on that point. It didnt even smell like Vanilla or Rose! So on the smell I was very disappointed but visually and appearance wise its great.

They must be pretty hit & miss because the Spiced Apple scented candle I bought my mom didnt even work so Im glad I only spent 99p on each of them. With this candle I think you get what you pay for and its never going to look or smell EXACTLY the same as a proper one so maybe my expectations were a little bit to high or something.

Having said that though I think this product would be a great thing for young kids. If you kids are asking you for candles for their rooms but you dont think they are quite old enough to be trusted then these candles are the perfect substitute. So I highly recommend them for that reason. Also I recommend them if your more concerned about it looking good rather than smelling good but sadly it just wasnt good enough for me.

      Thanks For Reading
