Advantages: High quality scent with adjustable settings, nice looking and very convenient
Disadvantages: I can think of none
Having last week bought the Glade Circul'air in Island Breeze for my high traffic hallway and being absolutely thrilled with it I decided to try the Glade Wisp for a more subtle scent in my low traffic lounge.
I initially decided to try a wisp or something similar as the lounge isn't used too often, and I'd feel uncomfortable leaving a plug in in there, or have the hassle of going in and out everyday switching the socket on and off.
I chose the Island Breeze scent as I'm already using it for the Circul'air, and think it's a lovely, fresh scent. The Wisp is very quick and easy to put together, you simply remove the cap from the scent bottle, insert the bottle into the main unit, twist to secure it and remove the tab from the (already inserted) battery to activate.
It has 5 settings and according to SC Johnson you should expect the scent bottle to last approximately 8 weeks on setting 2. I have mine at setting 1 and it's lovely, giving off a little 'poof' of scent every 1/2 an hour or so. Setting 5 is the highest and that seems to 'poof' every few minutes.
It's not bad looking either, and doesn't look out of place on the shelf, though they are small enough to conceal should you wish to do so. Also, as I discovered with mine, they don't seem to need to be in the centre of the room or placed in an airflow to circulate the scent, as so many standing room fresheners do.
The unit comes complete with instructions, a bottle of scent and a battery, which is Energizer, not some nondescript battery you seem to get included with a lot of products these days. I'm absolutely thrilled with mine and will be adding another unit to the trolley in next weeks shop for the bedroom.
Edited to add;
Prices-these do seem to vary widely. I bought mine for £3 from my local Asda, however, having just looked on their website to do a home shop it's now £5.28. Our local Boyes have them in and on sale for £1.99, though they are overstuck with foreign instructions. Carefully peeling this away re-revealed the english. Tesco are currently selling them for £5.28 as well.
An added bonus is that the Glade Flame effect candle and the wisp both take the same refill, stated on the refill packaging, meaning that you have double the choice of scents!
Summary: I highly recommend these, definately worth the money.
