It would be an understatement to say that I like space. I need space! Without it I am soon claustrophobic and become positively tetchy. Those among you who are 6' tall will understand that this world does not cater for we who are typically challenged. Chairs are made for typical people, as are the heights of door handles and kitchen sinks. Only those with legs untypically long will appreciate a 20 mile journey in a commuter train. We either pile our possessions on the seat next to us and glare at anyone who wishes to impose, or have to play kneesy with a complete stranger for the duration in order to avoid painful cramp. What, you ask, has this got to ... Read the complete review

Don’t get me wrong, I like men, they are fun and have some interesting little (sorry, scratch that, big) bits and pieces to play with during dull winter evenings, but over the last couple of years I’ve grown used to living without one in my house. I’ve been out to play with a few, I work with loads, heck, some of my best friends are men, but what I’d forgotten about (or wiped from my mind) is what it’s like to share a bathroom with one over an extended period of time. A girls’ bathroom is a nice little room, neat and tidy with a selection of wildly overpriced and underused toiletries in pretty bottles bought on the spur ... Read the complete review

~ ~ OK. I don’t REALLY like the smell of stinky poo!! I’d have to be a lot madder cabbie than I actually am for that to be the case. And like it or not, most folks poo IS stinky, even if some people would have you believe that their excreta smells of honeyed rose petals. ~ ~ We have a separate toilet here in the mad cabbie household. By that I mean that the loo isn’t in the same room as the bath and shower. In fact, we have two loos, with an additional one downstairs. But they are both small in size, (the rooms, I mean) and so are prone to get a bit smelly when someone has been in there dropping their guts. The time-honoured method of ... Read the complete review

I suddenly realised the other day, how long it was since I last changed my hoover bag. What a stink! After shearing the dog, who had to be virtually scalped (she is a Lhaso Apso - long haired scruffy looking little thing!) and was in need of a bit of a makover(don't we all)the bag got a bit full. After realising I had used the last one, and being unable to buy anymore until my next trip into civilisation, I thought I'd give the 'Drop in Vac' air fresheners a go. They were a god send. I had completely forgotten all about these little things to be quite honest with ... Read the complete review

We use reusable nappies and so as we keep the bucket in the bathroom although it isnt smelly there is a distinctive smell that lingers in the air as well as the normal bathroom smells. To try and get rid of this we bought some glad essence of nature air freshner spray. Wow does this stuff work!!! You need hardly any of it to make a difference in a room and I have started to use them all of the house. Their magnolia and vanilla spray is particularly good. The great thing with Glade though is that they do the same fragrances throughout their range of products so I can buy a candle in the same fragrance etc which means I'm not mixing smells. ...
