Glo White sachets - I sooo wanted these to work (Glo White)

I bought this 'Dr Beckmann Glowhite' product a month or so ago, after reading some very praiseworthy reviews, but I have to say that my experience contradicts all the positive reviews that I have read about it. This is the first occasion when a product that I have bought has not lived up to the positive reviews that it has on dooyoo.

The box that I bought in Tesco for just under £1.80, contains 5 'pop in wash sachets' that you simply add to the machine with your usual washing powder. This products contains a 'super whitener with UV Sun Protector'. As we are going on holiday next week, I thought it would be an ideal time to use this product for the first time, since some of my little white vest tops were looking a little off white and grubby, as well as some other no longer new white tops.

This products also claims to help you achieve that 'as new brilliance for all you whites' and 'bring your whites back to life'. Well early this morning, I followed the instructions on the reverse of the packet - popping in one of the sachet into the back of the machine on top of the laundry, before adding my usual persil detergent. I turned the temperature dial as normal and simply did my washing as normal.

From previous reviews, I was so expecting that my vest tops and other whites to look like new, but I couoldn't quite believe it when I opened up the drum of the machine, only to find that one of the most off white vest tops, remained off white, and certainly not the way it was when I bought it. Some of the other tops may have looked a little brighter, however I don't think I would have noticed any real difference had I not been inspecting them so intently. They certainly were not brilliantly white either.

I am at a loss as to why my experience of these sachets is so different from other dooyoo reviewers, and I sooo wanted them to work, especially before setting off on holiday, however I simply cannot say that they worked on my whites. I followd the instructions perfectly, but they just did not do exactly what they claim to do. I will however have another go at some point, just to use up some of the sachets, although I am not hopeful that they will be any different. So all in all, as much as I would like to recommend this product, based on my own experience, I cannot. It isn't a terribly expensive product, but there is little point in purchasing it, in my opinion, if it simply does not get your whites 'white'.

Summary: Very disappointed, since I was expecting them to be great
