Advantages: Easy to use, cheap, no extra work involved just wash as normal
Disadvantages: Make take a couple of attempts
Admit it, how many of us have accidently dyed the whole wash a dodgy shade of pink or blue with that odd random sock that snuck its way into the wash? Think of that lovely bright white cleaner than clean bra that all of a sudden starts to transform itself into a nice shade of gray. Also, consider your favourite light coloured top which has an unsightly stain on it, how will you get it out? I remember way back to my school dayswhen my mum managed to dye all the white wash pink, including the shirts to our school uniform and my brother and I were forced to wear pink shirts for a whole week until my mum could go and buy us some new ones. It was so embarrassing, and more so for my brother who spent the whole week being called a sissy and the like. Sadly, incidences like this are a part of life and most of us will be faced with this scenario at some time. So, what do you do??? Since those pink shirt days I have discovered something which is actually quite brilliant at returning whites to their whiter than white state. Glo White is the solution to all your problems. Glo White comes in a box of 5 sachets and they contain ingredients which return whites to white, although I am not sure exactly what these ingredients are I have to admit I was worried that if the product came into contact with any of my darker coloured clothing by mistake that it would bleach it. However, on the package it assures me that this isn't the case and it just contains active ingredients which are there to enhance whiteness. To use you simply take a sachet which resembles a big t-bag really, and you place it in the washing machine with the items you want whitening. There is no need to use any other clothes detergent as it will clean them as well. Then, you just place on a washing cycle of 60 degrees and let it work it's magic. When the clothes are finished you just take them out and dry as normal. I my experience one wash with Glo Was
h is enough and the clothes are fresh, clean and white. I have to be honest and say that they are better on items of clothing that are not very badly affected as they do struggle at times on more extreme cases. For those though I simply re washed again and there was even more improvement, so with a little patience they will turn white again, you just can't expect items that are badly affected to be as easy to sort out as those less so. I have gotten through a fair few boxes of this as it is so good at breathing life back into clothing. Now I always keep a box under the sink as you never know when you might need them. At £1.99 they are really reasonably priced as well. All this means is that there really is no excuse now for those unsightly pink shirts!!
