Advantages: Brilliant at removing stains and limescale

While pregnant I became completely obsessed with the cleanliness of toilets mostly due to the fact I had a lot of time to closely inspect them as I was sick throughout my pregnancy. I went as far as asking friends to clean their toilets before I came over. While I am not obsessed I still do like a sparkly toilet.

The bottle claims to be the most powerful toilet cleaner but has a * next to the statement and on the back adds on rust and lime scale .It claims to be a powerful cleaner that removes the toughest stains, lime scale and germs. It comes with a pointed nozzle and a childproof lock which while I do keep the product in a cupboard on a high shelf is important reassurance for me.

It is currently available from Tesco's for £1.63 for 750mls or two for £2.50.
Directions

It says on the bottle to apply and leave for ten minutes before flushing.
To kill all germs leave for an hour so I am not sure why you would want to flush after ten minutes.

I also found this information on the website "When it comes to toilet cleaning, research done by Harpic® shows that 7 out of 10 people flush a clean toilet before squirting a cleaning liquid around the rim" I was shocked by this its not anything I had considered doing but Harpic reassures you it is not necessary if this is something you do. It costs money if you are on a water meter and saves water and therefore better for the environment even if it doesn't cost you financially.

There is a list of cautions on the bottle also including:
Causes burns
Contains hydrochloric acid
Keep locked up and out of reach of children
Avoid contact with the skin and eyes and gives advice on what to do if you do have contact.



When I moved into my new house last July the toilet was heavily stained and full of lime scale. While I scrubbed it didn't seem to clear. I had never previously thought about what toilet cleaner I had used just found that daily cleaning kept it spick and span.
I bought a bottle of Harpic power plus in the hope I could that I could get some impressive results and was not disappointed .From the first time I used this product I noticed a reduction in the stains. The cleaner is a darkish blue and reminds me of the smell of TCP. Once the toilet is flushed there is little fragrance left. I don't particularly want my water to smell of anything personally though. I tend to clean the toilet before I go to bed and then leave the chemicals to work there magic while I sleep. Within a week I did have a toilet that was as fresh as a daisy and with no signs of lime scale.
I was amazed by this product and now this is the only toilet cleaner I buy.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who likes a nice clean toilet or who has a pregnant friend that is suffering from morning sickness.
