I see that nearly everybody else has given this toilet cleaner excellent reviews and I am going to echo their sentiments. I bought this a few months ago when I moved into my new house. I wanted a strong cleaner as the toilets were left quite dirty and were full of limescale and other charming looking stains. As soon as I used this I knew I would never buy another toilet cleaner!

It costs £1.62 in Tesco which is pretty reasonable. At the moment it is on offer and you can buy 'any 2 for £2.50' which gives you a really good saving. You get 750ml of this cleaner for your money.

The packaging is quite eye-catching - the bottle is black and orange with red and white writing. So even the packaging implies that this is a strong toilet cleaner! It has a red safety lid that you have to squeeze to open. This is useful because the pack of the packaging states that it causes burns so the lid helps prevent accidents if it was tipped over or if a young child grabbed it. The rest of the back of the bottle states how to use it and what it does (removes tough stains, kills all germs and eliminates limescale).

To use this cleaner you have to direct the nozzle under the toilet and squeeze the bottle. The liquid come out really thick and darkish blue. It sticks to the bowl really well and coats all areas of the toilet. You then either leave for ten minutes then brush and flush or, to kill all germs, leave for an hour then brush and flush.

This toilet cleaner works amazingly well. It removes all stains and limescale quickly and effectively. I thought that it would take a few goes to remove the limescale on the toilets in my new house but it removed them completely on the first go. It leaves your toilet looking beautifully clean and this cleanliness lasts for longer than with other cleaners making Harpic brilliant value for money. You don't really need to scrub that hard with your brush, just a quick scrub and the stains are gone. As well as this it eliminate odours - the first time I used it on the toilet in my new house the toilet smelt quite unpleasant but it killed the smell immediately. I also love the fact that this cleaner kills all germs. You really feel your toilet is properly clean and free of germs when you use this.

My only minor complaint is that it doesn't really smell of anything pleasant. The smell is not unpleasant though - just quite plain. In fact it almost smells like strong mouthwash. But I'm just being pedantic as the smell doesn't really matter with toilet cleaner so much because the smell of them never lingers for very long. But Harpic Power Plus do a citrus version now so I'll have to try that one!

Overall this is a brilliant and effective toilet cleaner that I highly recommend.
