Advantages: cost, effectiveness

Disadvantages: none

Having spent a fortune on ceramic hob cleaners, including those that cost around £8 each plus postage and packing of around £4.00, I have to conclude that Hob Brite at a more accessible price of £1.65 in your local Tesco is as good as any. When I first used it, I was dismayed to find that the metal residue from my stainless steel saucepan would not come off, no matter how much I wiped. However, second time around I left the Hob Brite on for a little longer and used a paper towel and some elbow grease to rub in the dried paste, until you hear it 'squeak'. Then I rinsed with a warm J-Cloth and buffed with a tea-towel. Even under a magnifying glass, there was no trace of any residue, whatsoever. The hob looked brand new and felt silky smooth. I have bought a ceramic scraper, but have found that it is just as effective and less frightening just to leave the Hob Brite dry on the cooker for a while. A little goes a long way and at less than £2.00 per bottle, it is good value for money.

Summary: Don't waste money on more expensive products. This one will do the job!
