Advantages: does the job

Disadvantages: leaves a mark

There's something about cooking on an electric glass top hob that gets very messy. For example, if a bit of water boils over, it leaves a nasty mark on the glass. With glass being one of the hardest things to get totally clean, it is very unforgiving, and therefore often seems to leave you with a dirty hob.

At £1.70 a bottle, this isn't cheap, but it is totally neccessary for your hob. It is made to be non-scratch, and also contains conditioner to protect your hob surface. Unlike most other cream cleaners, it is very watery in consistency, which can be a pain (as I will explain in a minute), but it does make it a very non-aggressive cleaning product.

The consistency is very runny, almost like hair conditioner with water mixed in. Because of this, it slides eveywhere, and is hard to control. Luckily, our hob has a raised edge, so it doesn't pour over the side.

The feel of the product is very creamy, like a moisturer for hands. Despite this, it cleans off hard stains and marks with ease, and require no 'scratching', just rubbing and wiping.

After you're done, you need to wipe it off, and it looks like it's all gone. However, an hour or so later (when dry), there is a cloudy stain on the glass, showing some that was left. Because of this you need to clean it off really really well. The problem with this is that, because it's such a good cleaner) any cloth you wipe it off with will get covered in mess, so I would recommend using paper towels.

All in all, this works very well for the specific job it is created for, but you need to wipe it off totally else you'll be left with a mark.

Summary: worth it
