Advantages: Cheap, easy to use and lasts for a long time
Disadvantages: None
***Why Hob Brite***
I hate to admit but when I got my new ceramic hob I was a bit intimated by all the instructions included especially the cleaning instructions, I mean why do the instructions always say lather with 'suitable' detergents without explaining whats suitable?
Luckily my mother-in-law has a similar hob so she recommended 'Hob Brite'.
Application:
The directions are clearly stated on the label and are very easy to follow:
- Shake well before use
- Make sure your hob is off and cool
- Apply cleaner with a paper towel/soft cloth
- Rub the glass lightly
- Rinse residue- Dry the hob with a paper towel/cloth
I would recommend giving it a good shake or else the liquid seems a little watery. I usually leave the liquid to settle for a minute after I have applied it, then I wipe the hob with a damp cloth and then finish by wiping with a separate clean cloth to finish.
To instructions say you can use a homecare razor scraper to loose n toughen deposits, but truthfully I have usually just left the liquid to settle for a while and I have managed to get by without purchasing as razor scraper (I have never actually seen one either!).
Cost:
I purchased the 300ml bottle for £1.89 at Asda.
I have not seen any other sizes but the price is round about the same in the other supermarkets I have visited, at the most their is a few pounds difference.
***Overall***
I purchased a new ceramic hob one year ago and I still have the same 'hob brite' yet I use it a few times a week. It was highly recommended from my mother in law so I gave it a go, and she was right to sing its praises!
One year on and my hob still looks like brand new.
In my opinion its very easy to use and cleans everything stains, spills and dried messes I have made on my hob ... which has been quite a few.
You only need a small amount to clean your hob, hence it has lasted this long. Many people have told me they clean there hob with good old soap and water but 'hob brite' ensures that your hob is protected and maintains that glossy look I got that I had when I first purchased the hob.
I have found that most shops stock this product and I have yet to hear from anyone who has been disappointed. Well worth the pennys! 10/10
Summary: Excellent product, highly recommended
