Advantages: The scent and colours available

Disadvantages: You have to travel to Ikea to get them

I work from home and the spare bedroom in our home is now my 'office' - I say office because there is really only a corner desk that I work from but, we also have all our bookcases in here and a sofa bed and so it has also become the room that we can go to for a bit of quiet time or to get away from the noise of the TV. So as this room started to take shape I wanted it to always be a dog free place (we have three!) and for it to be a room that you wanted to go to or in my case didn't feel like a burden to be in there because of knowing I had to go in there to work. I wanted the room to be cosy and always smell nice and so I started using candles, scented granules and incense all the time in here. The plus side is the room does always smell nice and when you go in it certainly is inviting! However he downside is that I spent a fortune on all this stuff! So I try to look for the best deal where possible concerning scented candles and this is where I find the Ikea Tindra tea lights are a brilliant purchase.

What are they?
Well they are normal sized tea light candles and as are most tea lights, they are sold in a multi pack. The pack contains 36 and they pretty much always have them in stock in any of the Ikea stores!

Colours/scents available:
This is also what I love about these tea lights as not only do they have different scents they also do them in a variety of colours so if you want you can match up to your décor. This is what I did at first but, to be honest most of them smell so gorgeous I had to buy the different colours eventually! The colours they do are as follows:

Browns
Pinks
Greens
Naturals
Oranges
Reds
Purples

The pack colour contains three shades. For example in the Pinks you'll find a really pale pink, a medium and then a deep pink. This is the same for them all and each pack contains 12 of each shade. Now the scent is a little harder to describe as myself and hubby have argued numerous time as to whether each shade in a pack is actually different or just stronger depending on how deep the colour is! We still have not settled this argument so if anybody does know we would be grateful! However the colour does usually indicate the type of scent - for example the green have an apple scent and the purple a lavender.

Packaging:
The packet is very simple with a clear plastic wrap and a thicker piece on top with the name printed on along with a small picture to indicate the scent of your chosen candle.

Price:
A pack will set you back £2.59. This does sound initially expensive when you can buy 100 white unscented tea lights in most £1 shops - however the scents are very good and they do burn a little longer than the cheaper alternatives so over time you would have had a much longer burn time than if buying huge quantities of the cheap white ones!

Overall opinion:
I do love these tea lights as they first of all just smell simply gorgeous! They also do burn on average longer than cheaper unscented white ones and therefore are ideal for me to use in tea light holders of an evening to brighten up the room and also give off a lovely scent. I buy a fair few packs of these throughout the year as I tend to buy 4 or 5 packs in one go and then these tend to last me a while before needing to get some more. I would highly recommend these to anybody who likes using candles as I don't think you'll be disappointed by them!

Summary: A great little tea light candle in a variety of scents and colours
