Advantages: Leaves toilet shining, prevents limescale, foams and blues well.

Disadvantages: Doesn't last as long as I'd hoped, slightly more expensive

Limescale and high toilet use is a right problem for me, Power Core solved that.

I've gone through numerous toilet products to keep my toilet clean (Including the Duck Fresh Discs I just reviewed) as no-one likes a dirty toilet.

Anyway, I was reading about these one night on the Bloo site in a hunt for something to clean really well right around the toilet. Seemed promising I thought.

Next day at the shops I picked them up for around £2, they are more expensive then the usual in-cistern block but they are worth it. The packaging is blue at the bottom, with pink at the top with a white foamy swirl to it, with the Bloo logo and Powercore written on.

The blocks are blue around the outside, with a red "core" to them. The blue freshens, blues the water and prevents limescale apparently, while the core cleans and foams.

I dropped one into both of my toilets and left it. Went back later and flushed, the water was a deep blue and there was quite a lot of foam in the bowl, it also left the toilet bowl sparkling clean. The downstairs was the same.

Although these don't fragrance, they are much better than I have used before, I've never really noticed fragrancing from those ones saying they do. I usually use a rimblock to get a nice fragrance to the loo.

The life of the block wasn't really as good as I expected, it seems to dissolve faster and last around 2 1/2 to 3 weeks, but I guess the more it's flushed the quicker it will dissolve.

Overall, for the slightly higher price, I'll happily use these again and will stock up on any offers.

Summary: Great product, despite the price. Definatly worth a try
