JML Toasta Bags
Advantages: So easy to use, resusable, easy to keep clean, very durable
Disadvantages: None at all for me
Good old JML. I've been using their Toastie Bags for as long as I can remember as I simply find them much easier and a lot let less hassle than using my electric toasting machine. I buy these directly from JML but I haven't needed to buy new ones for absolutely ages as these keep going on and on and have been reused so many times over the past few years. It's really amazing how strong and durable they are.
These bags come in packs of four and cost £4.99. They look like ordinary little brown sweetie bags until you touch them and they feel slightly like greaseproof paper. They feel really strong and they have little handles right at the top of them. This makes it easier to remove the bags from the hot toaster and prevents you from burning your fingers.
My daughter loves to help me to make toasted sandwiches. We mainly use them for toasted cheese but I have also toasted tomatoes and cooked meats with them, such as ham slices. Using these Toasta Bags is very simple and easy. I just make up an 'ordinary' sandwich and then pop it into the JML Toastie bag. Pop the Toastie bag into the toaster (just like I do a slice of bread to make toast) and turn the toaster onto high. When it's ready, the little bag pops out and hey presto - a great hot toasted sandwich.
They are so simple to use and I love the fact that they can be reused time and time again. They are currently showing no signs of wear or tear and I wash them both by hand and also in my dishwasher.
They are great for snacks or meals in a hurry at weekends, which is when I mostly use them. They have really proved to be excellent value for money and I thoroughly recommend them.
