Advantages: work

Disadvantages: burn easily

Purchased for £1 with 6 Kingsmill tokens, we've now had these for a few months so I can give the 'after effect' review.

At first glance they seem really good. The pics of Wallace and Gromit are a bit misplaced considering kids don't get hot things out of the oven, but what are they going to do, put a pic Brad Pitt on them?

The fact that they were cheap makes you feel good about them, but are they any good?

The material is thick and you do feel protected when using them. They do indeed work and you can pick hot things out of the oven but, like with all of these things, you have to be careful because after say 20 seconds the heat does start to come through.

Sadly, the light colours mean these are prone to browning and burning, which is a real pain as it makes them look terrible. If you leave them on the hob for a while (yeah I know it's stupid), they start to dry out then blacken at the edges which again makes you look likr a rubbish cook!

All in all they work, but are prone to stains and marks. My advice is to get a darker pair to cover up your mistakes!

Summary: ok for cheap
