... with my daughter asking for dinosaur toast or sandwiches quite often. We have also used the cutter to make dinosaur shaped biscuits - with my daughter being very keen to help out with cooking and baking now that she getting a bit older. It could also be used to cut out shapes from pastry too, to put on a pie. I have only washed the Dino Cutter by hand, so I am not sure if it will go in the dishwasher. It is strong and durable, though you do need to push down quite hard to ensure that it cuts through toast or wholemeal...more

Premium Review Lakeland Dino Cutter: Rawrrrr, cut Dinos in to your bread with this fantastic cutt ... (347 words)

I currently have seven nieces & nephews and throughout the years they have all had their various fads and phases that they've inevitably grown out of. One of my nephews loves dinosaurs and when browsing the Lakeland website I knew this would be just perfect for getting him to eat more sandwiches and especially ones make out of brown bread which he has recently taken a dislike to. The Lakeland Dino cutter is a plastic cutter which is around 12cm and is the ideal size for a sandwich made from a standard sized loaf of bread. The cutter has two dinosaurs (one will be upside down whatever way you hold the cutter) and one hard press down through the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Can you eat a dinosaur? (328 words)

I went on a shopping trip to Lakeland on Saturday after I had read a few reviews of items that I thought would be useful. I had read a couple of positive reviews on the dino cutter and thought it would be ideal for my son who loves dinosaurs. He isn't particularly interested in food at the moment although will eat absent minded so I thought this may create a little enthusiasm for his toast and sandwiches. The dino cutter is a 12 cm square cutter which cuts out two dinosaurs out of a single piece of bread, it is transparent green colour and priced at £1.95. When I got the item home my son went rummaging through my bags and found it attached to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lakeland Dino Cutter: Hear my lunch box roar! (295 words)

This dino cutter is a simple but effective item. At £1.95 from Lakeland (also £2.25 on amazon) it won't break the bank, however it will liven up lunch boxes and can also be used for cookie, toast and sliced cheese cutting. The cutter is made of a solid fittingly dinosaur green plastic and designed so it fits onto a slice of bread nicely with not too much waste - if I am feeling frugal I keep the crusts for use as breadcrumbs when making toast. I don't normally give in to requests for no crusts on sandwiches but make an exception when I use this cutter as it is so quick and waste is minimal, besides this makes fun sandwiches. The sharp side of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I have never seen sandwiches go so fast . (315 words)

I am not in general the type of mum who cuts food into shapes or makes faces with the kids dinner to get them to eat it but my son was having a dinosaur themed birthday party and so when I saw this Dino cutter in my local Lakeland I just had to buy it. I couldn't believe the price at just £1.95, even if I only used it for the party it would still be a bargain. It is made from a strong green plastic, it measures 12cm (4¾") sq. This is the perfect size for a standard slice of bread, the only left overs are the crusts which is fantastic as if you use a normal cookie cutter you are left with loads of wasted bread. Each slice of bread will give ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lakeland Dino Cutter: Dinosaurs for Dinner (379 words)

I might not be Annabel Karmel in the kitchen but I do try to prepare food and meals that the kids will actually enjoy and be happy to eat. I love Lakeland products in general and can spend hours browsing through their catalogues and when I came across these cute dinosaur shaped cutters for just £1.95, they went straight on my Lakeland wishlist! The cutters are actually one piece which is very cleverly designed to produce two (small) identical dinosaurs from one piece of bread. The image in the catalogue (and on Dooyoo) shows how the cutter fits almost perfectly within a slice of bread, just cutting off the crusts (which my kids don't eat anyway) and minimising ...  Read the complete review
