The arch of plastic between the blade and the ring tapers at the ends so you can use it to dig under the peel and take it off, making it possible to peel an orange (or satsuma) without hardly touching it. These are such a simple concept but absolutely fantastic, another Lakeland classic, the only problem with them is that as they are very small I do keep losing them, but I always find them again and they're so cheap...more

Premium Review Lakeland Orange Peelers: A-peeling gadget (sorry, that's awful!) (205 words)

Everyone at work laughs at me when I get my Lakeland orange peeler out but I think its fantastic. I have to be honest and say that I never eat oranges, but since buying these I have started to have the odd satsuma and that is what I use them for (maybe that's why people are laughing). OK, its pathetic but I really don't like peeling satsumas and it puts me off eating them so when I saw these in Lakeland, 77p for 2 I had to buy them. They are made of green plastic with a ring for your finger and a small plastic 'blade' to peel the orange. I have become a big fan of Lakeland since I started writing reviews as I've come across more and more reviews of their products. To use this you simply press it in to the top of the orange and then drag it down and it will ...  Read the complete review

As I was writing my recent reviews about some other Lakeland products I thought I would share my opinions on one of their simpler gadgets. What is it ? This is a packet of two orange peelers, they are made from a strong green plastic that can be washed and used over and over again. It is such a simple design a circle for your finger to fit through and a straight edge that peels the orange. These can peel an orange easily in less than a minute. They are small enough to fit in your handbag or kids lunch box. Why would I want this, I have been peeling oranges for years without the need for a 'peeler' ? Ok I know the idea of it sounds ...  Read the complete review
