What a great alternative to the babrbecue, and certainly a lot more pleasant in the middle of winter! This is a great ridged pan, that cooks meat beautifully, giving them the lovely stripes that we all crave. Because it's made of really heavy cast iron, the heat is even and allows food to cook evenly, so you know your steak is perfect all over. Easy to clean, and because there's no wooden handle, it's dishwasher safe too. A very healthy way to cook also as the ridges mean that any fat that comes from the meat falls to the bottom.

We love our pan, and use it very regulalrly, so it's certainly been a worthwhile addition to our kitchen. Much prefer it to regular frying as the fat is removed, although it is heavy.

While on the pricey side, as with everything from Le Creuset, this is guaranteed to last, so you won't be replacing it any time soon.
