Advantages: Long lasting scent
Disadvantages: can be pricey
Review for Lenor sleep sensations.
Did you know there are washing fairies?
They come in and take all the washing out of the laundry basket (and off the bathroom floor)! put it the machine, wash it, dry it, iron it & put it all away. Well thats what my boys think.
I have used every washing powder and fabric conditioner. With a lot of mixed results.
With fabric conditioners i can't have anything that smells too girly but i like to use ones that you can smell when the clothes are dry.
I always avoided this one as it has lavender in it and i do not like the smell of lavender ( it makes me sneeze and reminds me of my nan, but thats a different story).
But the other half did the shopping and got this one so i gave it ago.
PACKAGING
----------------
The one i am reviewing is the concentrated one. This Lenor range comes in the same packaging, a clear plastic bottle but each different scent has a different colour label and bottle top. This one is lilac.
You then have a picture on the front and a description on the back
On the sides you have instructions on how much too use.
The non concentrate in the range come in a coloured bottle instead of a clear one.
You can recycle the bottle.
HISTORY
-----------------
Lenor is a brand name under Procter & Gamble which has a lot of other household names under it's belt including: Aerial, Bounty, Head & shoulders,Pampers & olay.
They have around 250 brands and sell to over 100 countries.
THE SMELL TEST
-------------------------
It is hard to explain smells but i was surprised with this one. It says it has natural extracts of lavender and camomile. And to be honest the lavender is not over powering as it usually is. And it doesn't smell too girly
It is quite a gentle scent. If you want to have a sniff have a sneaky one next time you are in the supermarket.
USING
------------
Ok, it tells you on the bottle how much to use for how much washing you have. Firstly i have never met anyone that weighs their washing.
Second it tells you to use the bottle top to measure how much to use, as it is concentrate you are supposed to use less than normal.
But i have a extra capacity washing machine and i just fill the compartment in my washing machine draw.
The liquid is thicker than regular softeners but not too thick that it sticks to the draw and leaves a build up as some concentrates do.
OUTCOME
------------------
A lot of softeners lose their scent after drying but i can still smell this one. I admit it's not very strong but it is still there. Especially on my bedding. I do love getting into bed with clean bedding and being able to smell the softener and i can with this one. The boys haven't complained it's too girly so thats a plus.
As for the clothes being softer i think they are.We live in a hard water area and if i don't use a softener the clothes can dry like cardboard.
This one seemed to work, my jeans did not come out so stiff and the towels seemed softer.
OTHERS IN THE RANGE
-----------------------------------
In the pink--- Mango and orange--fresh and fruity
spring awakening--- Spring flowers---revitalising
Summer breeze---- Fragrance of a summers day?
PRICE
------------
1.5L----- £2.65
750ml---- £1.45
I think this can be a bit pricey considering i use a bit more than recommended. So i will stock up when it's on offer.
I am quite pleased with this product and would buy it again. And the washing fairies seem to like it too!!
Summary: A good quality fabric softener

- 09/02/07 I adore the smell of clothes drying over the radiator when I use Lenor, and I too use more than recommended and agree it's pricey when overused. |

- 09/02/07 I used to hate the smell of lavender, but with this I think its the nicest smell for bedding. |
