Advantages: Long Lasting freshness and Scent.

Disadvantages: If You Don't Like Strong Scents.

I love the smell of freshly washed laundry and have always looked for a product that would give me a long lasing fresh smell that does not wear off straight away as well as softening my washing and this is how I came to find Lenor infusions.

This particular review is on my favorite one in the range Black diamonds and lotus flower.


==== Lenor The Brand ====

Lenor as a brand has been around for quite a while and specialize in creating fabric softeners that have been used for many, many years and I can remember that big blue bottle standing
on top of my mums washing machine when I was a child.
There was only one product then but now there is a Lenor range of fabric softeners.


==== The Range =====

The simply Lenor brand - which is the original one and is now in concentrate form

Touch Effects - This version of Lenor claims to give you a freshness that you can actually feel when you touch your laundry

Infusions - (This review) In this range all the products have been created with a perfume house to create four different scents.


===== Packaging =====

Obviously packaging is key in creating buyer interest and I was instantly drawn to this one and I think that I must have been a magpie in a previous life as I was drawn to the shiny sleek black plastic of the bottle.
It has a sliver screw lid that holds the measuring cup and the writing is in a grey and sliver style and looks like a luxury product.
It states on the bottle that you will get 21 washes and this is based on a normal wash load.
It has been dermatologically tested and as my children have quite sensitive skin I was curious to see what effect this would have.


==== How To Use It ====

It states that you need to use only one capful per washing load and that should be enough to give your washing that fresh feel and enough to give you a long lasting scent.
Just pour the capful into your machine draw and you are away. you can also use it for handwashing but only use 1/3 of a capful and do not pour directly onto fabrics.


===== The Scent ====

As soon as I opened the lid the fragrance jump right out at me and was very strong but that is to be expected when you sniff half a bottle up your nose and I knew that the scent would be more subtle in the wash.
I am not aware that Black diamonds have a scent so can not tell you that it smells of black diamonds but the Lotus flower scent was very strong and was not a synthetic smell but a very natural one. I also found that although it was quite a musky scent there was something sweet in there and the mixture of the scents balanced it out really well.


===== The Results =====

As soon as I opened the washing machine the scent flowed out with my washing and filled the room, The scent was indeed a lot more subtle but still very evident and while the washing was drying the scent really filled the kitchen and even my kids kept asking what was that nice smell.
I found that all my washing including towels and underwear and bedding was all very soft and my towels actually looked like new and I am pleased to say that they kept that softness until they were used.
The scent also lasted very well and my bathroom had a fabulous scent with the fresh towels in.
It was a joy to slip between the sheets and have that lovely fresh scent and it lasted for a good week.
I also found that I got a good 19 washing out of this and that perhaps due to the fact that my washing machine loads are huge as that's how I wash my children!.


===== Sensitivity test =====

Everybody's skins are different and I can only speak for my family of five but I found that it was very gentle on all our skins and no one found that it irritating their skins at all.


===== Conclusion =====

I love it!, It does the job and gets my washing soft and full of freshness and lasted longer than any other fabric softener that I have used and I can not wait to try the other three infusions.

It is available in most supermarkets and cost approx £2.00 although It is on offer in Sainsburys at the moment.
